Sakura Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Limerick

A real mixed bag, with something good and something bad in every dish, and the bad things ruin everything. We ordered sushi, it came in two 'flights'. The first flight had fresh fish, and stale dry rice. The second flight had fresh rice and frozen fish. The tuna sashimi was still slightly crystalline and it had clearly been frozen multiple times. The mayonnaise on the California rolls was caterer's grade sweet mayonnaise, not sushi mayo. The California rolls tasted like they used canned tuna. And the prawns in the rainbow rolls in the second flight were sour, and tasted like lemon juice. The meal was memorable, and replaces my previous worst sushi experience at a 7-11 on Taiwan (my fault, should've known better) in the bottom spot....

I've been eating here since I moved to LK 3 years ago and back then I ordered every other week, I loved the rainbow roll, then the quality started dipping. Very upsetting when you expect a food that you always buy to be the same and they give you different. I buy a grilled beef bento box every week. And it always come with fried rice. Today it came with white sushi rice meaning No salt, no taste, nothing, just boiled rice. Food was tasteless.
