Green House — Restaurant in Modiin-Maccabim-Reut

Missed potential.

It's not good. The place is comfortable with small kids, there's a playground in front. One can potentially sit at the table an let the kids run around. Service is okay, the waitress is not at fault.

The menu tries to provide plenty of options. But all dishes we ordered (10+) were bad (taste and quantity) and yet absurdly expensive. Even the most basic salads, are just dull and expensive as if you're on Rotshield blv. in Tel-Aviv. Stick to the basic fried potatoes and schnitzel. And the most basic salad. You'd be less disappointed.

Pizza at the near Pizzeria is better, although nothing amazing.

There's an ice cream shop at the same complex and the restaurant will make you a face for eating dessert there instead of their dull cakes.

IMHO this place manage to exist just because of no other real competition (especially on Saturdays) in this Lev...

One of the older restaurants in the Modiin area, have been there many times and usually I found it pleasant enough. The food was always perfectly fine though not unusual.

Today I was very disappointed, the menu is much more limited now than it used to be, the food is no more than ok, the service tonight was kind of indifferent - the waitresses were busy chatting with each other - and prices have gone up considerably, making the place way too expensive for the food and service provided.

After years of visiting this restaurant regularly once every two or three months, I think I am going to look for alternatives, although the options in Modiin are...

אהבנו את הגרין האוס עוד בגרסתו הישנה כשהיה בצומת שילת צמוד למשטלת וונדי. כבר אז אהבנו את התפריט, השירות המעולה, הנקיון וההקפדה על הפרטים הקטנים והבלתי מתפשרים של הבעלים ( גיא) שתמיד נכח במקום. המשכנו לעקוב ולהגיע גם כשהמקום עבר לרעות. התפריט התחדש, אוירת המקום השתנתה ולמרות שיש בה פחות טבע , הצליחו לבנות אוירה חמימה ונעימה. השירות נשאר נפלא, המנות טעימות ומגוונות (תמיד יש ספיישלים חדשים שמתחלפים) וההקפדה על הנקיון במקום והפרטים הקטנים נותרו ( ושוב פגשנו את גיא עומד ומנצח על הכל...). היום היזמנו לינגוויני עם ארטישוק שהיה מעולה ורביולי ממולא גבינות וסלק (מהספיישלים) שהיה עילוי ממש, נמס בפה. שתינו מוחיטו וכוס יין וקינחנו בקפה הפוך שהיה חם ומוקצף כראוי ובעוגת פירורים וכדור גלידה שהיתה טובה אם כי פחות מהצפיות (תוספת צימוקים/ אוכמניות/ אגוזים/ קנמון במילוי יכלו לשדרג אותה). שילמנו על הכל 270 שח פלוס טיפ, לא זול אבל בהחלט שווה כל אגורה. תמיד טעים ומהנה

שבנו לאחר תקופה ארוכה (קורונה), ישבנו על הבר ( כי לא היה מקום. אחר..) ושוב נהננו מאוד. המנות טעימות ומדוייקות, עשויות מחומרי גלם מעולים, (פסטת ביצים עם ביקון שהיתה טעימנ ונימוחה בפה, עוף פיקנטי ברוטב קוקוס וקארי עם ירקות שנעשו בקפידה ובמידת עשיה מדוייקת והמבורגר מבשר איכותי) השירות אדיב וקשוב והבעלים כתמיד שם ומקפיד על אחרון הפרטים. קצת יקר, אבל נותן תמורה מלאה. נהננו...
