Bonassola is a jewel at the end of a considerably winding road from the autostrada. We appeared to be some of the few people who were not walking the Cinque Terre. I had hoped to snorkel but the sea was too rough - apparently the coast is excellent for it but the waves often intervene. The beach is a grey shingle with some amazing rocks and pebbles.||||The Antico Caffe is very close to the beach (there is a viaduct in betweeen the beach and the town) and run by the hardworking and efficient Alessandra who serves good breakfasts and excellent simple dnners (the fish is a must). The rooms are large, with newly refurbished bathrooms (ours was the Blue room). The TV does not work, but everything else does. All in all excellent value and very...

Read moreIn the beginning of July this summer I and my wife stayed three nights in Antico Caffe del Moro. Our room was clean and its facilities were in good condition. The price was favorable. The sevice was lovely and the location of the Antico Caffe is perfect. In the evening they play very good music while you sit outside sipping your martini watching the pedestrians. Bonassola is sweet and lovely, small but with many restaurants and a wonderful beach. In few minutes you can visit the beautiful national park Cinque Terre with train.
