Vistamare isola — Restaurant in Isola delle Femmine

Overpriced, Terrible service as well as food. We walked in and got seated at around 1-2pm, got no service or anything for at least 40 minutes, we made eye contact to the waiters several times, signalling we‘d like to order but no one came to take our order. Additionally, while cleaning, they spilled the coke on the floor and table and just gave up cleaning it, leaving the table next to us dripping in cola, until another table asked them to clean it. Now to the food; on top of waiting 40min to even order, the food took another hour to come and we ended up eating lunch at 3pm. Now to the meat; I ordered a medium rare but the meat not only looked raw on some cuts, but overcooked on the others, the meat was not only disappointing in terms of looks but also taste. I’ve never eaten such a badly cooked piece of meat. Not only was it 20€ for this piece of meat, but they also messed up the other orders on the table. I do not recommend or understand the high reviews of this restaurant. We only went here because we were at the beach and hungry, I would not recommend this place to anyone. 20+€ for this piece of meat I could not finish due to the raw consistency...

I was walking by the beach and looking for a restaurant and decided to try Vistamare even though they had no review on google.

Turns out they had only been open for 3 days. The staff was really pleasant and the pizza was delicious and had a good price (€8).

My waiter was excited to hear I was Brazilian and told me, in perfect Portuguese, all about how much he loved Brazil and how much he missed it. I was already happy they had English speaking staff so the Portuguese was a pleasant surprise.

Sembravano preoccupati ma...

Siamo stati in questo locale, purtroppo non è andata benissimo. Abbiamo ordinato una pizza che era buona, nulla da dire. Poi sono arrivati i primi: un risotto praticamente crudo e degli spaghetti alle vongole completamente incollati e che sapevano più di pasta all'aglio. Abbiamo fatto presente il problema con educazione e abbiamo rimandato indietro i piatti.

Il proprietario è venuto al tavolo, ci ha ascoltati e ci ha detto che se volevamo potevamo ordinare qualcos’altro, anche se ci ha tenuto a sottolineare che secondo lui i piatti andavano bene e che per come ha voluto intendere “era una questione di gusti”. Comunque sembrava dispiaciuto e preoccupato, quindi abbiamo apprezzato e abbiamo ordinato due Margherita (anche queste buone, come la prima pizza).

Peccato però che, al momento del conto, ci siamo trovati a pagare tutti i primi, anche quelli che avevamo rimandato indietro e non mangiato. E proprio in quel momento, il proprietario, così presente prima, si è letteralmente dileguato. Nessuna spiegazione, nessuna attenzione. Silenzio.

Peccato davvero, perché si sarebbe potuto recuperare con un po’ di correttezza e disponibilità. Invece siamo usciti delusi, non tanto per il cibo (capita), ma per come è stata gestita...
