Two very different experience: First day went there, everything was great, the service personnel were very helpful and they really looked into details. I think one was Fabio, he recommended great wine and cocktails to match the food I ordered, big success! Another one I think was called Marta, she was so friendly and explained the food so well. Mixed seafood plate was more than delicious! The experience was so wonderful that I decided to go for the restaurant again the next day. For this day, 5 stars are well deserved!

Second day there, actually enjoyed the seat very much. The food was nice as the other day, the service personnel were also great, the guy I don’t remember his name anymore, and Marta was there again. I controlled my eating time so I could leave before 21:30, which was the time limit on my reservation. At like 21:00, two people who wore more formal came by one after another, asking me how was my food. I think they are higher level, maybe managers. I thought that’s sweet, very caring, for this I’m so willing to order dessert and coffee, which I usually don’t order. At 21:20, one suited guy came to me, asking me again how was my food, then asked me to pay and leave already if possible. ! Because the people who reserve the table after me are already there ! I thought my table is reserved for me until 21:30, and I actually only wanted to finish my final drop of water and leave already. But that felt really bad to be asked to leave while I’m actually still in the time frame.

When I paid with card, the suited guy typed 10€ more for the paying, and then he said: I’m so sorry, I go to take 10€ and give it back to you. I know they start to get busy so I actually wanted to go to the front desk and pay, maybe there wouldn’t have had this issue. I actually wanted to give them 10€ , just like the day before, because of the great service from the guy and Marta. Eventually I told the suited guy to keep the 10€ because I actually planned to give them 10€. But it just didn’t feel so nice… I went out with really horrible feeling, which I don’t think one should have after paying such kind of price and being a nice customer. For this day, because of the story at the end, I would have given only 1 Star.

Sadly my experience in this restaurant in my Milan trip had to end like this because I really...

I had the pleasure of dining with them at Langosteria Cafe close to Duomo on the 23rd of Jan’24 twice within the same day - once at lunch time and once for dinner.

I had a reservation for lunch, and had a warm seafood salad with a “Red Fall” cocktail. The hostess as I walked in, was very kind and attentive and helped me seat comfortably with all the shopping bags I had. I have been served a few spoonful of gazpacho as an amuse-bouche and my warm seafood salad was delicious — and Danielle who took care of me as I dined, warned me that it is actually not a salad but guaranteed I will enjoy the dish as it is a signature dish that has always been on the menu since 2007.

As time passed and I was still in the neighborhood, I was thinking that eating just one dish was a mistake, it was that good. So I went back for dinner. Vanessa at the reception, remembered me right away and arranged me a seat at the chefs table with Danielle. I felt like I have been dining there for my all life. This might have been one of the finest hospitalities I have ever seen, specifically because I am a tourist and not an everyday guests of theirs.

Before I start, Danielle served a different amuse-bouche as I already had the other one for lunch and this one was even better - mussels topped on a tomato sauce. Anyway, I had a “red tuna carpaccio” as an entree and Danielle offered me “Paccheri with Seabass” which they normally only cook for two. Really satisfying, delicious seafood here. I will definitely visit you on every single trip to Milano or wherever you other locations are. What a fondly experience you served me right there…

I am taking time to write this review, as it’s actually very difficult to enjoy travellling and dining alone. And your team members made sure, I had the best time.

Special thanks to...

Completely dissatisfied. I was expecting the evening to be amazing, but it was so bad. The location is targeted towards the tourist, it’s clear. The prices are twice as much as they should be when you consider the quality of the food served. Very below average food. There are too many staff, all of which are being paid for by the customer - the man to open the door, the two girls on the entrance, the women in the bathroom etc. Completely unnecessary. But I must say that the main waiter was very professional, he did a good job. No doubt the rent is also a key factor why this place is so expensive. Another thing, we made huge effort to dress nicely but sadly as we looked around there were many people in jeans, T-shirts, hoodies, sports clothing. Totally inappropriate for nice restaurant. The disappointment continues - I was a little shocked when the girl on the entrance told me we have 2hrs before we need to leave the table, that another customer will arrive. Never ever ever have I been told such a thing in a restaurant, especially a restaurant that is trying badly to target a more specific diner. Shocked!! Also as I looked around the entrance I noticed how messy it was with people sat on the bar eating a meal. I kept asking myself what is this restaurant wanting to be, what’s its aim, what’s its target customer. For me it doesn’t work at all. About the food, most of it was terrible, only the tuna and the sea bass were tasty. The other meals were unforgettable. The non-alcoholic cocktails were disappointing. The only really nice thing I enjoyed was the chocolate served with the bill, they were really nice. As for the bill, it was double what the meal was worth. Horrible evening. Overall, this place is...
