Well, possibly our worst restaurant experience during our 6 nights in Rome. Not all bad, the food we actually found OK, but certainly not better than any of the other places we visited. The service was good, and the restaurant was nice enough, and looking at the menu board, and inside they are trying to market it as a little upscale - and this is why we chose it when comparing to the one next door. Water - 3 Euros for a bottle - seems to be the standard and OK - but instead of a bottle from a water company, it comes in a blue bottle with no cap/top with the restaurant name on the bottle - another review says tap water - and it could be - and probably is. Service Charge - 2 Euro for service/bread - not explained very well what bread was included - we were asked if we'd like foccacia bread - sad yes - this came at 6 euros. Beer - .2 cl is 6 Euro, 40 cl is 9 euros - most expensive I saw in the street restaurants. Wine - priced OK - probably on par with same type of restaurants. I do not understand service charge - normally if there is a service charge - there is no need to tip - I don't understand it as I would normally tip more than the service charge for good service - we were asked when paying bill to add tip for waiters - I did - but probably should not have. Would I go back - no. In future going to check Google reviews on my phone before we pick...
Read moreWorst Restaurant in Rome, it definitely doesn't reflect the tasty traditional Italian gastronomy. The food is so tasteless and overpriced. Not to mention the inexperienced unfriendly staff with their low service. We went there asking for a table for two, they replied there was only place for two inside, since the tables outside are reserved for 4 persons, however they promised us they would move us back outside if there were tables free , and so it happened, 4 tables were free but they lied, they ignored us, they let 2 person sit outside without reservation and so even their manager called "Georgio" was so mean that he didn't care about helping us or coming to an agreement or a way of satisfaction and showed a disrespectful and unprofessional way of dealing with unsatisfied customers, using bad language in Italian gladly that i understood somehow. so i highly don't recommend this resto to any tourist if...
Read moreDuring our time in Rome, we had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant not once, but twice. It was a delightful surprise to stumble upon it while staying at the charming Inn at the Spanish Steps. The culinary experience was nothing short of extraordinary, with delectable dishes that left our taste buds dancing with joy. However, it wasn't just the food that made our visits memorable; it was the exceptional service provided by Eddie and Ehab. Their attentiveness and warm hospitality truly elevated our dining experience. When we returned for the second time, Ehab even recognized us and warmly welcomed us back, making us feel like valued guests. In fact, it was evident that every member of the restaurant's staff was dedicated to ensuring a pleasant and friendly atmosphere for all patrons. Sorry I only have two pictures, but we started to eat before we realized we did not take a picture...
