Ristorante Il Veliero — Restaurant in Syracuse

I’m not really sure what to say, was tempted to give 4 stars, but I think 3 is fair. We ordered 3 dishes, the pasta was really good - 4.5, one fish dish was good, 4 stars, the other fish dish, not so good, 2 stars., so I think average is 3.5? It’s certainly not touristy because there are no English menu and the surprise fish was hit or miss. We don’t regret eating there. So take your chance if you want an authentic experience!

Ci siamo recati tramite consiglio, al ristorante Il Veliero. Arrivati, notiamo già da subito il locale era vuoto mentre altri concorrenti erano già all'opera . Chiediamo di sederci al chiuso xké non ci piace respirare la polvere di strada mentre si mangia, ma il cameriere ci fa notare fin da subito che l'aria condizionata è spenta e già questi due segnali ci avrebbero dovuto mettere allerta, allora optiamo per mangiare fuori al passaggio delle automobili. Ordiniamo due fritti misti un'insalata e un'acqua. In breve tempo il cameriere si presenta con due piattini ( dalla foto sembra abbondante, ma credetemi x il prezzo non lo è) non certamente delle porzioni siciliane e l'insalata. I piattini si presentano con delle rondelle di calamaro poco cotti e gommosi e delle teste di gambero grosse (vedi foto )ma dentro il piatto c'erano i gamberetti (staccati dalla testa) microscopici che si vendono al supermercato surgelati, i più astuti avranno certamente capito!. Insalata nella norma, l'acqua (unica nota positiva) san pellegrino in vetro. Al termine ci hanno offerto due bicchierini di Moscato spacciandolo per Zibibbo. Tot. € 49.
