We came here from our guided tour. It has a preselected menu for tour groups: an appetizer of bruschetta, a 1st course to choose between two plates, and a 2nd course. My wife and I each chose separate plates of each thing, so that we could share. I can honestly say without a shadow-of-doubt this was the worst food I have eaten out in my life: Yes I say this as a tourist, and yes my country has Applebee’s in the middle of nowhere that I have eaten at many times, and the food is much better than my meal at this trattoria.

The pasta for each 1st course was absolutely bland: 0 basil in the fettuccini, 0 sage in the ravioli. The 2nd course was rough: really dry tasteless-pork, and 1 inch thick cheese with a piece of prosciutto in a mini-paella pan.

The food was so bad, people who already paid for the food included in the tour, walked out. When few people were remaining, my wife and I chatted up other people in the group because they brought table wine for the whole table. So many people had left early that there was still plenty of wine left, and so we chatted and had more wine. After maybe 10 minutes of them removing our 2nd course dishes, our waiter came to our table and said “some guy named Giuseppe was looking for you guys and said you needed to return to your tour group” - *there was no Giuseppe in our entire group (person or tour guide) and we still had another 30 minutes of free time before meeting up with the tour again. They were just trying to get us out because another big tour group was filing in and they needed the space.
