In Riva Ristorante — Restaurant in Venice

We were two people and ordered two mushroom risotto and drinks. After almost 1 hour, we still hadn’t received the mushroom risotto even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy and two tables who arrived after us were already served. When we asked the waiter about it, he didn’t apologize or explain, just told us that if we wanted to leave, we still had to pay which we were willing to do, but the attitude was extremely rude. We also spoke to a woman from the staff, and instead of showing any understanding, she told us, “You’re not Italian, so you don’t know that risotto takes time.” This kind of comment is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Explaining cooking times is one thing, but making assumptions about customers like that is unacceptable. Finally, we tried to talk to the manager, who also refused to take any responsibility and falsely claimed we had only waited 15 minutes. The meal we had at In Riva Ristorante was one of the best meals we have had in our 3 week tour of Italy. Marco and staff were amazing hosts. I would say to trust Marco’s recommendations explicitly. We started with a little cichetti assortment for appetizers and then had the most wonderful fresh sea bass prepared at our table by the one and only Marco. The wine was pretty damn good as well! Пришли в ресторан, сели за столик на улице, молодой человек пошёл в туалет и в это время подошла девушка официант,сказала что если вы хотите заказать еду, то очень быстро иначе кухня закрывается через 10 минут а посидеть в ресторане можно до 30 мин. Время было 17.30. Мы решили не кушать, хотели съесть десерт и выпить кофе, официант пошла узнавать работает ли кофе машина, потом сказала что нет. Я извинилась и сказала, что тогда мы видимо пойдём,на что официантка начала громким голосом демонстративно возмущаться,что молодой человек посетил их туалет. На мой вопрос какая проблема, и если это так критично без проблем мы заплатим,официант недослушав формула и побежала за менеджером. Сума сойти, видимо в этом ресторане совсем все плохо,что такие вопросы решает менеджер. Он таки пришёл и начал выяснять ситуацию, вообще Стыдно должно быть за такой сервис. Менеджер что то говорил на итальянском,хотя мы говорили на английском, потом махнул рукой, развернулся и ушёл.
