Ryugetsuan — Restaurant in Kyoto

Every dish we ordered was good, but the handcut soba noodles were exceptional! The chef is the sole man running the restaurant, and he is a very caring and considerate guy. Overall it was a very personalized dinner experience, and I would definitely come back again. It was also cheaper than I thought - 4 of us ordered around ~7 small dishes, beer and sake and it was only around $30 per person. No English menu though so had to use Google Translate.

龍月庵

偶然經過十字路口，從對面被龍月庵淺木頭色的外表溫暖的燈光吸引。 冬天晚上正值晚餐時間，我與友人在餐廳外張望了一下。剛好有位小姐在外抽菸，她得知我們是台灣來的遊客大力推薦我們進去吃說是他朋友開的店。

於是我們進去了，裡面乾淨淺色的木頭裝潢與溫暖的燈光給人舒服的感覺。 裡面都是當地人沒有看到疑似遊客，大家都點了一些小食配酒聊天。 店家與客人都是日本人，英文方面幫不上太大的忙，還好大家都很友善也感謝google翻譯。店家有提供一份英文套餐menu，還有日文的menu。

我與友人點了兩套和牛套餐，又單點了酒跟一些居酒屋常見小吃。 只有一位師傅從頭處理到尾，雖然等待時間會稍為長一點但是都很貼心的想要介紹菜餚，當然一開始那位小姐也非常熱情的用google跟日文為我們介紹。

菜是一道道上，但是上來的狀態你可以感受到就是上一秒做好下一秒就送上來，料理手法細緻食材新鮮調味完美。在冬夜晚上喝點小酒搭配美食真是人生享受。有一些菜餚我也不知道是什麼因為我日文堪憂，但是直接以吃貨的我來說，每一道都很棒。

山藥泥不知道怎麼處理的有種麻糬感，有趣新鮮也美味，生魚片非常新鮮，蔬菜天婦羅看得出金黃色而且剛起鍋不久，外皮香酥裡頭柔軟也不會過油，非常完美。算是我目前美食人生中前幾名的蔬菜天婦羅。烤銀杏也是非常好吃Q彈甘中帶點苦味配清酒很棒。和牛應該是烤後切片，熟度剛好。師傅處理前有來問說想要多熟，有要求稍為熟一點。肉來之前有點擔心怕處理會讓肉質太硬，結果不會一樣香嫩彈性有油脂入口即化的感覺，就是邊緣一塊稍微有一點太焦稍嫌可惜。再來高湯蛋粥很香，吃完了溫暖整個身體。甜點抹茶布丁也好吃。

基本上如果再去京都一定絕對會再去拜訪，臨走前有拿了師傅的名片。 5顆星星獻給讓我在異鄉冬夜中被溫暖靈魂的龍月庵。

I passed by the restaurant by accident, in the beginning i was attracted by the Japanese style deco of the restaurant. then i decided to give it a try. i love myself for making this decision.

Their service and cuisine are both amazing. despite their are unable to serve customer via English, but they are very friendly and willing to explain by Japanese and hand gesture and maybe some English words.

They do have one English set menu, but i also recommend that customer use your own google translate to check the Japanese version menu, you will find a lot of good things.

or even you are not sure what it is, just try to order something. and you will find they are all delicious. wish you enjoy the atmosphere and good food there. (I want to share with those people who only can read English to know this restaurant. i am not native English speaker, please be kind to my grammar.) thank...

Very delicious Japanese Kaiseki. Clean and cozy ambience. The chef is very kind and accomodating. The miso grilled amberjack, hand-made Japanese soba, and sashimi melted in our mouths. Highly recommend for a comfortable, high quality Japanese...
