The food was delicious. We had an appetizer in 3 plates worthy of a fine dining restaurant and large assortiment of various sashimis. The local Sake and Umeshu were were also delicious. But the very best part of the meal was the service. The menu is handwritten in Japanese so our phones were unable to translate it, so the waitress described each one of them to us. Without a doubt, this is some of the best food in the best dining atmosphere I've enjoyed in a long time. I liked it so much, I went two days in a row 😅😋 I can't imagine a more perfect spot to unwind after long days of walking around sightseeing and hiking. The food is as beautiful as it is delicious, and the atmosphere is low-key and relaxing but still feels special. Don't miss out on this place if you are in the Nikko area! Outstanding. So far, the best dining experience we had in Japan. Group of 5, only I spoke a tiny bit of Japanese, but very badly and barely understandable. But despite that, the staff was extremely patient and understanding, basically explained the whole menu to me, meal by meal, and we got some incredible food.
