Maruten Sushi — Restaurant in Osaka

The staff was friendly (but maybe need to be more attentive as they didn’t fill our water) and the food matched the price point. The rice wasn’t the best but it was okay.

There were some fish pieces that were great for the price! The others were alright. I’d recommend the hamachi (yellowtail), squid, and mackerel.

Might come back here again now that we know which pieces tasted better.

Rice didn’t have the best texture but the nigiri pieces were solid, and very very very well priced. Really couldn’t complain given the price.

For my fellow gaijins, they do have an English menu. Waitresses don’t speak English well but the menu and google translate should be enough for your stay.

Do note that patrons are allowed to smoke indoors though it seems to be well ventilated so you don’t smell...

Great sushi experience. Amazing flavor, great prices, and the first place in Japan where locals decided to chat and we had some great conversations. Great spot to visit to get...
