Domanin — Restaurant in Semboku

We stayed at a guesthouse in the area and stumbled across this place by luck! It was a rainy Saturday night and there were quite a bit of people dining inside so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is lovely….all locals having a good time! The menu is large with a ton of options and prices are very reasonable.

We ordered many items to try plus they recommended bottle of local Akita sake. Honestly everything we ordered was delicious.

Some of our favorites of the night were the #1 recommended miso negi (green onion) pizza, egg omelet roll, agedashi tofu, fried chicken and the fried gizzards. You can’t go wrong, everything was amazing!

Nice atmosphere and I thought I knew what drink I was ordering after asking for biru, but got some hard liquor instead. Luckily the kind lady sitting next to me explained and I got a no alcohol beer instead. The 2 dishes were good, fried chicken was a much larger serving than I've had elsewhere so didn't need another But the deep fried tofu with eggplant and mushroom in sticky sauce was light and not too heavy although couldn't eat it all.
