KOBE Beef Emperor Steak – Shinjuku Kabukicho(エンペラーステーキ) — Restaurant in Tokyo

My wife and I came to Tokyo to celebrate our 19th year anniversary. We had the worst experience in our life…..We came to this restaurant to celebrate a great dinner but we left with a bad taste in our mouth, not from the food but from the surprised bill we received. We were expecting no more than $60 per person, as we pay in the US at a Steak House such as Long Horn, Salt Grass, Outback and others. This people were not fair. They charged us $420 US Dollars!. What a rip off. Tourists, please, please, don’t fall in this trap/scam as we did. Stay away from this dishonest group. This is a serious warning. The Tokyo Consumers Affairs District should close this place immediately because it is ruining a Tokyo’s’...

The restaurant is located on the first floor, a 30-second walk after turning right from the Kabukicho TOHO Cinemas (the one with Godzilla's head peeking out). This time, I had the two-star course. Each dish was made with large, high-quality ingredients that really highlighted their natural flavors. Everything was incredibly delicious. I’m extremely disappointed ☹️ and upset 🤬 about the prices at this place. My husband and I ordered steaks they were not big at all, served with soup and salad, fried rice and coke for drinks. The bill was over $450.00 dollars. We didn’t realize it at first but when it finally clicked we were stunned. I truly wouldn’t want for this to happen to another innocent tourist like us. What a...
