If you aren’t able to make it to Kyoto, visit this location in Harajuku! Very convenient and tastes the same as the main location in Kyoto.

It is located inside of a mall so you need to go up the escalator one floor. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

I’m a regular customer and I always order the matcha tiramisu and chocolate matcha latte. Honestly the only difference between the regular matcha latte and the chocolate one is the chocolate syrup and whipped cream. So if you’re getting the tiramisu, you can just get the regular matcha latte.

The regular matcha latte is unsweetened but they will give you a mini cup of gum syrup (sweetener).

The matcha tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had. The first time I had it was when they were collaborating with the Pompompurin cafe and I was instantly hooked.

I’m not normally a tiramisu person, but the matcha tiramisu from Maccha House was on our radar and did not disappoint. A rich, authentic matcha flavour supported by a fluffy and rich tiramisu cake layer. I was upset I had to share it with my partner, because it was so tasty I wanted it all for myself! We also shared a half-and-half matcha/vanilla soft serve cone dusted with matcha powder, which perfectly balanced the creaminess of the vanilla with the herbal tones of the matcha. The service here was wonderful, and the staff were able to understand my reasonably broken Japanese and served me with patience and a smile. And our order was ready in under 30 seconds! Matcha spot in a heart of Harajuku. We tried an ice cream, a matcha beer, a tiramisu and just bottled unsweetened matcha. The beer wins this race 😁 Ice cream and the tea were tasty too. I am not very fond of the heaviness of the the cream in tiramisu. It seemed a bit too fatty and very filling. But the taste was good.

I didn't really like the atmosphere of the place. Such a sophisticated desert and kind of bistro-style serving. The guy at the counter wasn't very friendly as well. Maybe just tired, but still ruins the experience a little.
