Had a great time at Marcelo's with the parents. Chef Marcelo's Mediterranean starters and grill with Brazilian influence delivered the goods.
The hummus and tzatziki paired with homemade pita was an impressive first course - I would have not gotten half if I had known better.
We ordered the Merguez lamb sausage, which had a very well balanced blend of spices, while the meats were grilled simply and were served without sauces. The aged meats definitely did not need anything more than salt.
To end off, we got introduced to rose and pomegranate ice cream, made fresh in house.
Luckily for us, we were the only table, and could have a great time chatting with Marcelo and Mami. We would love to be back some time...

Read moreA friend and I went to Marcelo's Bistro yesterday and enjoyed the food so much. It was my first time to eat food from Israel. I started of with hummus and baba ghannouj dip that was amazing, chased down with Israeli beer which is pretty quality in itself.
Then came the meat. Sausage and then Marcelo's aged beef. It was such an amazing steak. 700 grams of grilled goodness. Similar to Brazilian churrasco, it was seasoned only with salt. By the time I left I started likening Marcelo to Salt Bae.
