Pintokona Roppongi Hills — Restaurant in Tokyo

Invited by friend from Zurich and have a dinner here. I’m shocked to see the same menu is delivered with different quality between us and other local customers by the counter.

The tuna, being the main dish of this restaurant came in poor situation as the meet is wrecked. No one would pay 1000 yen for a sushi with a wrecked chutoro isn’t it?

Seriously I know it might be a place for tourists with overcharged but I did not expect the quality be this bad.

More interestingly the waiters, being out number by the customers on peak hour, never responded to our call and just came from time to time” anyone call me? Anyone call me?” It makes you feel like riding a long distance train.

If you are looking for quality and expensive sushi, this is not your choice If you are looking for trying many different sushi for fun this is also not...

We were desperate for some conveyor belt sushi (after a bad experience at Kura), and happened across this restaurant close to where we were staying. The atmosphere is very cozy and classy. Service was extremely friendly, and spoke excellent English. They let you pick off the conveyor belt OR order directly from the server - in case what you're looking for isn't coming around. Also, you get to make your own tea at the bar. They have a bowl of matcha powder, and hot water dispensers at each spot. Fun! It is a BIT on the pricy side - although there are plenty of ¥120 dishes, the higher end dishes go for quite a bit more. We found the fresher pieces were getting picked up before they got to us, but we still managed to make it without ordering directly. For two people eating quite a bit, it was still less...

While the cost is on the higher side, the quality truly justifies it. Typically, conveyor belt sushi starts at a more affordable rate. Here, however, each plate comes at a doubled price point, but the superior rice and fish quality surpasses the norm. The elevated experience makes the pricing reasonable, especially considering its location in the metropolitan area. Beyond this, the ambiance is exceptionally pleasant.
