We dined at this restaurant at 6 PM on a Monday, and the place felt quiet, with only two other tables occupied besides ours. Our hotel had made the reservation for us, and an English menu was already placed on our table upon arrival. However, we noticed the prices on the English menu included unusually high taxes and service charges. Curious, we requested a Japanese menu and discovered that prices for items beyond the first page were indeed higher on the English version. This felt deceptive. When we asked about the discrepancy, the staff seemed embarrassed but offered no explanation. We ordered shabu-shabu and a “large” beer. The shabu-shabu featured good-quality meat, though the other ingredients were average. The beer, listed on the menu as 300 ml, arrived in a surprisingly small glass. We hadn’t done the math to realize their “large” size was smaller than a standard can, which was disappointing. The service was attentive but inexperienced. Our waitress, dressed in a traditional outfit with wide sleeves, accidentally brushed her sleeves across our plates multiple times while serving. You are paying for the service and the vibe, that's really it. We've had far better quality of meat (and we ordered A4) for half the price elsewhere. With that said, expect almost a 1:1 service where they would even cook the vegetables for you and skim off the excess junk on top of the hotpot.
