KyoChon Chicken @ Pandan Indah — Restaurant in Ampang Jaya Municipal Council

I recently visited KyoChon Korean Fried Chicken at Pandan Indah and was very disappointed with the service. When I tried to order, I spoke in Malay, but the staff answered in English. So I switched to English too — but unfortunately, I couldn't understand what he was saying. His English was broken and he clearly didn’t understand me either. Communication was very difficult and frustrating.

My girlfriend asked politely if they provide plain water, and the staff said no, only mineral water. We clearly responded that we didn’t want it — yet later, we were served mineral water anyway, which cost RM5. This was not what we ordered, and it felt like we were forced to pay for something we declined.

To make it worse, there's a 10% service charge, but the service didn’t reflect that at all. I strongly feel this restaurant needs to hire staff who can understand and communicate with customers properly. Please don’t cut corners by hiring staff who aren't trained or qualified to provide basic service.

A well-known brand like KyoChon should maintain better...

This is the first try dine-in, I always ordered online their food previously, and luckily I got a great dine-in experience.

Taste wise : dine-in is better than order online (not sure at the other branches) but here they smear the sauce perfectly, the crunchy is so nice and I dont know why I never get pickle radish when I order online, but I get it when dine-in🤔

Service : the girl as a cashier and waitress (yes, she handle these 2 jobs) did her job very well, friendly and quick, but the kitchen take time to prepare the food, it's 25mnt or mybe more than that, I see many ppl order online, and this may make it longer, anyway, the kitchen can b improved

Limited seat, the aircon is soo cold, I am easy to freezing, so I cannot seat for a long time, the wastafel water is warm which is so nice when I am freezing, easy to get parking, and the great thing is they open when bank holiday while many restaurants close I will come...

I don't know what has happened to Kyochon. They used to be good but macam ntah apa pa.

Chicken

The chicken is sooo small like damnn ayam pasar malam pun besar lagi. some chicken are dry like sibeh dry that i need so much energy to chew and swallow the chicken. The soy garlic sauce taste like nothing. Thought like we ordered the original one cuz really takda rasa. the chicken itself is a bit bland. Maybe can marinate the chicken or at least put salt la. Could be better yaa

the drink

Ordered the coke zero and surprised to see yang the staff pour our water from an opened bottle. Air dah tak bergas dah and the taste very off.

Please improve this ya. I love kyochon but cannot laa like this. We pay for this and expect to receive a very authentic Korean fried...
