Restorante Bella Italia Pizzeria — Restaurant in George Town

I wish I didn’t have to write this negative review but the experience I had here was very disappointing and shocking too. I was there with another family who is their regular customer since many years. We all ordered various food items and some of them were on the expensive side (around Rm45-50 range per dish). First the Pasta was very salty so we asked to please replace, then Ravioli the same story after that Salmon again very Salty so we asked to replace and then last Chicken super Salty too. 4 dishes same mistake and when I asked the Captain (who is apparently working their since very long time) this chicken is very salty, he said, “chicken is already marinated now what can I do? Very rude and aggressive tone, first of all it’s his staff who has ruined 3 dishes just now and this fourth also same story and he is showing attitude instead of apologising. I said can you replace the chicken, he said okay I will just grill the chicken and nothing else. I was shocked with this behaviour. He was supposed apologize and ask his chef what is happening but instead he is being rude with the customer as if it’s my mistake. Then he replaced the chicken and this time No Salt at all. Just crazy how they handled this situation. Because you can’t season the food properly so you will either make it salty or no salt at all? And this place is very old and famous, for what? Even after the entire meal, not a single word of apology from the Captain. I guess they have become overconfident that they are famous and people will come regardless how they behave. Stay humble guys and try to respect...

Had dinner here last year n overall quality had changed worse. My friend wants to give a try n visit again for his birthday lunch treat before the business shut down for a memory though as this eatery used to be a favourite n widely known in Penang for the past decades with its excellent food taste n services by the owner. Unfortunately this time was a nightmare n more worsen than the last. Upon entered the place, the owner has the bad attitude, he is not welcoming n keep saying “only cash payment!”. I ordered grilled seabass fish but it was terrible served, awful taste n stinky which I unable to finish at all. The menu price still remains old high-priced. I would say you not deserve it anymore. Well, I believe there might be something bad happened n caused the restaurant turns it to inferior now. If you plan to shut down the business, pls do it during the resplendent n good reputation moments. Don’t spoil your image n our nostalgic memory for not...

I regret to come here before reading the comments. We were here for dinner and were the first to enter the restaurant and being assigned to small tables despite I planning to order quite some food for celebration. Other customers can sit in big table despite only comes in with 1 person, as the restaurant just wants to fill up small table first.

After checking with the guy in white shirt, who you can read other comments about him, came and told me that this is his restaurants and he decide who sits where and ask me to f off. It is such an embarrassment moment for us and we decided to walk off the place. I was only asking one question and I being treated in that way.

I hope anyone that read the review here because you're considering to come here, to think twice as you can already see the restaurant has some serious management issue, not sure the owner or the manager but this is obviously the staffs are sabotaging...
