⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointed Experience – Not Worth the Hype
My family & I (5 adults + 2 kids below 10 years old) visited Tiki Taka on May 17 around 6:30 PM with high expectations due to the many positive reviews online, but unfortunately, the experience fell far below what was promised.
The soft shell crab tacos tasted old, possibly frozen for too long, and the portion sizes were very small for the RM700++ bill we paid. While the buffalo wings and vindaloo pizza were tasty, they were nowhere near enough amount served to justify the high prices.
Worse still, we were overcharged for an extra meal that we did not order (nasi lemak rendang). I was tipsy from all the drinking and trusted Tiki Taka brand enough not to double-check—thankfully, my sister caught the mistake before we left. Despite pointing this out immediately, the restaurant refused to refund the cash, claiming it was already keyed into their system. Instead, they offered us a watermelon juice that was far too sweet as compensation.
Service was poor too. We specifically asked for ice cream with chocolate topping, but were served one with caramel instead. The waiter tried to convince us to accept it as-is. Only after insisting multiple times did they finally bring out a new one—with chocolate powder instead of syrup.
Avocado drink with gula melaka: thick and not sweet. Asked for extra gula melaka but was told they had no more. So we requested for sugar syrup which surprisingly was not as sweet and spoiled the taste. When the bill included nasi lemak which we did not order, the avocado gula melaka drink was offered to compensate. When we questioned their earlier reply of not having gula melaka. Well, they replied they hv made new gula melaka!
We ordered mac and cheese for the little ones. It was like "mee goreng" with egg!
Overall, the food lacked authenticity, and the quality did not match the rave reviews online. If I could go back in time, I would have chosen La Chica or Gravy Baby—better food, better service, and definitely better value for money.
Extremely disappointed. Not likely to return - banned from my...

When Tiki Taka first opened its door for business, I'd already be one of the first few patrons to eat there. Back then they still serve breakfast but has since changed their operation hours to serve only lunch, dinner and late night crowds.
Few years later, I came back again for lunch - it was more like a last minute decision really. The tummies were drumming and my car was cruising along SPRINT Highway towards Damansara Heights. Saw the stretch of shophouses and quickly made a quick turn. Parking was definitely easier during the day.
Not many customers - in fact, we were the only customers that day so it kinda felt like "bao" the whole restaurant 😅 first thought - the menu has been revamped a lot! Good because I can taste new food.
◾ Pork ribs - fall-off-the-bone Spanish ribs basted in peppery BBQ sauce, lime on the side. As promised in the description, the meat was definitely fork tender and easily ripped off the bone. It has this Balinese taste & feel when the lime was squeezed onto the meat to mix with the thick and blackish sauce. ◾Sriracha gambas Al ajillo - fresh tiger prawns sauteed in Sriracha garlic butter sauce, lemon and parsley. Few toasts were given to wipe off the delicious yet sinful sauce. ◾Crab croquettes - panko breaded crabmeat with Ozzy cheese and freshly toasted coconut kerisik & parsley. Served with Sriracha aioli. ◾Pork satay - marinated pork in skewers, spicy peanut sambal and mesclun salad on the side. The meat has got the flavour to match which I like. ◾with such a delightful lunch, I felt like having a glass of white wine.. say no more!
From their menu, they serve a lot of small sized plates such as pintxos and tapas typically from Spain, plus some mains with Asian/European influences - also...
Read moreFirst of all, I must say the restaurant had an inviting ambiance. The staffs were warm and welcoming. Regarding the food, since we ordered both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, the chef was very accommodating with our request to separate the lamb chili from the nachos platter, and it was done perfectly. The lamb chili was a savory delight that perfectly balanced heat and flavor. The garlic mushrooms were a simple yet sublime starter, showcasing the natural richness of the ingredients. They were perfect starters. The Pintxos were delightful, and their tapas portion were an excellent way to taste and share many dishes among my friends without getting too full. Other dishes like the Peruvian Chicken was really good. The chicken burger was a generous portion, and it came with a twist of an Asian touch with sweet potato and yam chips, crispy and oil-free like air-fried chips, instead of the usual fries. We ordered the Italian Margherita pizza for my vegetarian friend, and it was generously topped with cheese. The desserts were delicious, and the plating was so pretty. We had margarita and mojitos, and they were of good quality too. Since we went on a Tuesday, it was only RM15 for such quality cocktails. Overall, the experience was amazing, and yes, the restaurant decor was also commendable. By the way, we parked our car at the car park opposite...
