Tried Boyfriend Hotpot for the first time and it was such a great experience! We ordered the RM138 family set, and honestly, it was totally worth it. The portion was generous — fresh meats, clean seafood, and a good variety of vegetables, all nicely presented. We went with the tomato and mala soup base, and both were rich, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The tomato broth was comforting and slightly sweet, while the mala had that perfect numbing kick without being too oily. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy, with strong air-conditioning and a calm atmosphere — perfect for catching up with friends or a casual family dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive, explaining the dishes and helping us feel welcome. For the price, the quality and quantity really impressed us. Left the place full and satisfied! Definitely a spot I’ll come back to whenever I crave hotpot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and tasty...
Read moreParking is fine too. Park road side will do. But quite hard to find this place. We are come as it’s so high rated 4.8 stars but we only realise it could be the bought reviews. If u rate 5 stars u will get a set of pork slices worth rm14.9. But the pork slice actually not so fresh already. Anyway, we also doubt the deliciousness but since we are here then we try.
Service is good. I can feel that when I was about to find something they will come and ask do u need help. Quite observant 👍🏻
Food wise: Imo not much dishes to order. And quite pricy. The soup is good, at least I don’t feel very thirsty after meal. They have set of 79.90 and 138 ish I personallly feel not so worth. Drinks. Expensive hmmm…
Environment and design quite nice and comfortable.
Overall is Erm.. won’t be my first choice for steamboat. Ntg...
Read moreToday, 28/1/2025, I had my CNY reunion dinner at Nan Peng You Hotpot (Bukit Serdang branch).
I ordered TWO “Set A Super Value Set (S)”, but when the food was served, we only received two pots of soup and one set of dishes (配料). The other set of dishes was missing.
After waiting for another 20 minutes, the second set was still not served. We called a young chinese guy waiter to check, but his attitude was terrible. When we told him the food hadn’t been served, he looked at the order receipt and seemed confused, not knowing what had or hadn’t been served. Then he asked me, the customer, to tell him what was missing so he could bring it.
I was thinking, what kind of attitude is this? Isn’t it your job as a waiter to cross-check the order receipt and the food served? Why are you asking the customer to do your job?
To make things worse, all the staff there seemed confused. They didn’t mark down what had already been served on the receipt, which is why they didn’t know what was missing. Isn’t this a basic standard practice in a restaurant? Are you seriously expecting your customers to manage this for you?
Finally, the missing set of dishes (配料) was served, but it was incomplete—it only came with 2 plates of pork slices instead of the 3 plates that were supposed to be included in the set.
We also ordered 3 additional plates of pork slices in the same order. In total, 4 plates were missing.
After asking FOUR times, the missing 4 plates were finally served. This level of service is completely unacceptable.
I am seriously wondering how your restaurant trains its staff. This is my second visit. The first visit was great, but this time was terrible.
