El Ballenitas — Restaurant in Cancún

Wow, just wow. The best food we've had in the 8 days we were in Mexico (much, much better than what our 5 star resort was feeding us), and such kind, amazing, attentive service.

We got oysters, tuna tacos, and this sinaloa drowned shrimp (can't remember what they were called in Spanish), as well as a couple of cocktails and mezcal. Everything was so flavourful and absolutely delicious. So much so that we only remembered to take photos once we've eaten half the food.

I now only wish we had extra days in Cancun so we can try more of their food!...

This place is amazing! The food is absolutely delicious. Their seafood is the best we have ever had. And the service is top notch. We went two nights during our vacation and both nights we had exceptional service and food. The entire team there is so welcoming and the atmosphere was chill and fun. Definitely go here. Comimos allí ayer. A las 2pm. Mi esposa pide coca cola. Traen lata de coca que tenía aprox 30 grados y no tenía gas. Solicitamos cambiarla. Traen la misma coca caliente sin gas. El Garrotero trae salsas y dos caballitos de caldo. Mientras pedimos la orden. Y regresa Garrotero y recoge los dos caballitos de caldo, sin explicación . En 5 min regresa el mesero comentando que la sopa de mariscos no me puede traer ya que la están haciendo ahorita porque se ha hecho perder. Me cae al 20 porque recogieron los caballitos con el caldo! De repente se le va la luz en todo el restaurante, unos 5 min. Traen la orden y yo ordeno otra cosa. En casa en la noche a mi mujer le dan cólicos fuertes en el estómago. En la mañana tiene calentura y tremenda diarrea. Aparte de los mariscos no ha comido nada más, solo unas frutas y chocolate en la tarde. Se enfermó con una infección en el estómago. FUE MI PRIMERA Y LA ULTIMA VISITA EN ESTE RESTAURANTE. MALA EXPERIENCIA AL RESPECTO...
