GOVINDA BUFFET Vegano Vegetariano — Restaurant in Nuevo León

I wanted to take my friend out for lunch and not have to spend the rest of the day recovering from it. We found Govinda through some online searching, and are so glad we did! The buffet isn't huge, but it has plenty of options. My favorite was a dish with chick peas and cabbage. There were lots of gluten free options, and the await staff was knowledgeable about which items did have gluten. We saw 3 waiters during a very slow time, and the last was especially enthusiastic and friendly. The restaurant is in a really quaint location, and I will definitely be back to show my husband what might be a new favorite restaurant here...

Pure vegetarian food. They only offer buffet half of which is salad and other half is mostly deep fried versions of pakoda. Having said that one will have many options to choose from. Nowhere close to Indian taste but from outside it does look like it. By look of it small place but might be good enough for crowd it gets. Well price is reasonable if not cheap (125 mx dollars per person for the unlimited buffet). Me hubiera gustado poder disfrutar de la buena sazón y el trato amable que mencionan en las opiniones sobre este restaurante (de hecho desde hace tiempo que quería venir). Desgraciadamente lo que nos tocó vivir a mi esposo y a mi fue una desagradable situación: al llegar, mi esposo entro a preguntar al encargado si podía utilizar el sanitario y la respuesta inmediata que recibió de la persona (de acento argentino, que no sé si sea el dueño) que lo atendió fue: “por favor retírate del establecimiento, estamos en pandemia”. Mi esposo traía cubrebocas y no estaba rompiendo ninguna regla, el lugar estaba a media capacidad de gente. No había motivos para haberlo corrido. Sin embargo fue tratado de manera despectiva y salió muy molesto de ahí. Andábamos desde temprano en el centro paseando y buscábamos dónde comer, traíamos ropa casual y sencilla, sospechamos que creyo que no pensábamos pagar. Es lamentable ya que es uno de los pocos establecimientos vegan de toda la ciudad y de verdad tenía mucho tiempo que pensábamos visitarlo, pero como dicen la primera impresión cuenta mucho: lugar agradable pero...
