This place kept on showing up when I searched for WiFi restaurants near me. But each time I clicked on it I realized it was far from me until I rented a bike so I went there today. The place is cute and every single place to sit is paddded and comfortable. I will include photos I took of the interior. I forgot to photograph my food. The service was excellent. However I didn’t like the sandwich I ordered. I ordered the turkey club and it was almost all bread. There was a super thin layer of ham. A tiny bit of turkey and strips of bacon. Plus some tomatoes and some wilted lettuce. I took off all the pieces of bread except one pice and ate it open face but even eating it that way there was very little stuff on the sandwich. I am sure their other food is good but I would not recommend the turkey club. The drinks were good. I had lemonade and lemonade, watermelon and mint. I was getting some work done and the WiFi is extremely slow. I was making some FlashCards and the web based flashcard app would take 2 minutes or more when trying to save a card and fo to the next. That is very low on the totem pole of how much bandwidth was used. I would t recommend this place if you need a strong WiFi connection. I am giving them 5 stars because the service and comfort was excellent. And if I came back I would just order something else on the menu. So I uploaded two pics and both I took while sitting in a booth. There was a whole other room with more tables and chairs that were identical to what I uploaded.

My wife and I stumbled upon this great little cafe after church one day on our last trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was on the inside and how great the food was. I ordered the hamburger (with an extra patty) and loved it. This hamburger rivals anything in the USA. The staff are super friendly and we loved the ambiance. My wife bought a Children's Bible in Spanish for the grandkids. We love to leave reviews of little start-ups like this one and would recommend this little place to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen (by the way, the Church above...Cornerstone Community Church) speaks English and is a very friendly, sweet little church if you want to have a place to worship on vacation.

5 de octubre 2024 Decidí darle otra oportunidad desde la semana pasada y me cobraron $15 por la leche extra, lo cuál se me hace ok. Pero hoy que volví a ir, me dijeron que costaba $30 🤯. Un robo. ¿Se dicen hijos de Dios y cobran $30 pesos por una mini tacita de leche de almendra? Incoherencia. Dios no quisiera que se aprovecharan del prójimo cuando él sabe que eso es lo que cuesta el bote entero de la leche de almendra. Además había una señora con la chichi de fuera amamantando. Se me hace de muy mal gusto que permitan esto en un restaurante. No estamos en la edad de piedra. Hemos evolucionado como sociedad, ¿no?. Dios tampoco quisiera que sus siervas sacaran los senos en público. Y además, quitaron los huaraches veganos de champiñón. 22 de junio de 2024 - CARÍSISISMO TODO YA. PAGUÉ COMO $170 PESOS POR DOS CAFÉS CON LECHE DE ALMENDRA. ¿Si saben que la leche de almendra ya cuesta lo mismo que la de vaca? Quieren sacar lo que cuesta un bote de leche de almendra al cobrar ese extra. - NO HABÍA A/C - SE FUE LA LUZ Post update lunes 25 de sept 2023: No pidan leche de almendra extra. Te la cobran cara, y la porción es solo una tacita pequeña. Pagué como $34 pesos esta última vez que fui solo por la leche extra, y es casi lo que me costó el café americano. Fue solo como un peso de diferencia. Y eso fue solo por una tacita de leche de almendra. Es la única leche vegetal que tienen 😑. Se me ocurrió pedir el café americano para probarlo porque es refill, pero salió “junto con pegado” porque pagué igual como si hubiera pedido un capuchino. Por ese dinero mejor me hubiera comprado todo el bote de leche de soya. No pidan la leche de almendra aparte. No entiendo porqué todavía se aprovechan de los veganos o de los intolerantes a la lactosa en muchos establecimientos. El bote de leche de soya de Ades cuesta más o menos lo mismo, o menos que uno de leche de vaca. En fin, ojalá y se modernicen pronto 🙄🤦🏽♀️ y ofrezcan leches vegetales sin costo extra, o al menos no tan elevado. ¡Cada vez cuesta más todo y sirven menos! Lo que si me agrada es que la señorita que me ha atendido es amable y me ofrece posibilidades veganas aunque el restaurante no las tenga per se en el menú, aunque ya se que ahi las opciones veganas son limitadas.

Es la segunda vez que vengo, el café una delicia!! ✨😌 El servicio terrible... Contrario a lo que uno esperaría de un café que supone ser parte de una iglesia, la primera vez pensé que la chica de caja simplemente no estaba teniendo un buen día, pero hoy, constaté que definitivamente una persona con esa actitud no puede ser la cara de ninguna cafetería. Hoy llegué 7.05 am pues aparentemente el servicio es a partir de las 7 am, para empezar estaban aún limpiando y me dijeron que solo había servicio para llevar (hoy quería quedarme unos minutos por eso no fui a Starbucks en el car pick)... ni buenos días me dijeron, y la chica parecía molesta de que yo llegara a esa hora, tengo que decir que es la chica que cobra pues la segunda vez que atiende en caja, y buenos...estaba barriendo y limpiando y NO SE LAVÓ LAS MANOS para hacer mi cafén😞... Y después se molestó porque mi pago era con tarjeta e insistió sobre el efectivo... Porque qué flojera I a buscar su terminal y prenderla para cobrarme y estaba muy molesta!! No puede controlar su cara y sus gestos, se nota que no le gusta su trabajo porque permanentemente tiene una actitud mala y cuando la molestas pidiendo lo mínimo que uno pide en una cafetería hace caras aún más desagradables para todo 😢 ojalá esté bien de corazón... pero al mismo tiempo creo que el no cuidar estos detalles es lo que termina haciendo que uno prefiera las cadenas que el comercio local... Nadie quiere empezar su día con esa actitud... El café delicioso el sabor de la experiencia terrible 😔 Daré una tercera oportunidad un día de estos, mientras tanto, hoy es el 2 de 3.. ojalá pueda sentir un poco del Jesus Revolution del cartel que tienen afuera la tercera vez...

Take the walk away from 5th and come have the Best banana pancakes in all of Playa! Had the "create your own" breakfast for $149 pesos, came with 2 big pancakes, 2 perfectly cooked AND seasoned eggs, two strips of bacon (this was not good, tasted old) and juice (freshly squeezed and sweet unlike the bitter sour I am used to in playa) and a cup of joe. They gave me frothed milk for my coffee for an extra 15 pesos which was really nice. Nice pastry display as well. Clean and comfortable, I recommend to all.

As an American, Morning Star Cafe is a place I go to get a taste of home. They have a robust selection of American breakfast items such as biscuits and gravy that are very difficult to find in Mexico. The service is fast and courteous. The food is tasty. I recommend the build your own breakfast platter. It is a good value.
