Saemaeul Sikdang Mongolia — Restaurant in Ulaanbaatar

I just had dinner at this place. Compared to last spring, it has gotten worse. The food arrived fast, but the spoons and forks did not. I waited for 10 minutes and still had no spoons or forks. There was also no tea or teacups. I asked the waitress to bring me spoons and forks. When she came back, I asked for tea, but she forgot the cups and left again. Then she came back and, with a face like 😒, asked me, “Anything else?” Oh God, I felt like I was guilty of something.

For the Korean standard, tea, cups, spoons, and forks usually come first, then the food. She literally thought she was only there to bring food 😆.

Additionally, here comes the funniest part: she said the kitchen didn’t have cabbage (while I was eating grilled meat). So I said okay and ate only meat with side dishes and rice. Then what happened? Boom! Customers who came after us and sat next to us got their food with cabbage! OMG, I felt like I was in a drama or something hahah.

When I asked her, she didn’t even hear me. So I asked another waiter, and he said sorry. I said okay. Then the waitress came back, and I asked about the cabbage. She just said, “Okay, I’ll tell the kitchen” 😑😀😩. What do you mean, tell the kitchen? The whole time I was eating only meat with rice!???? Then another waiter finally gave us the cabbage. She said nothing. Not even “sorry” or “here’s your cabbage.”

Such a horrible experience.

The food was good and was served fast, Only Fluffy Cheese Eggs were smelly so I didn't eat. Servers are inattentive, not well trained and groomed, I didn't see the manager on the floor; Staff is minding their own business talking to each other or kitchen staff who are finishing the shift. I asked for an extra Heineken, they brought me two, saying it's the last two bottles and she doesn't want to keep it (?????). The beverage menu isn't accurate regarding bottle volume and price. I read about promotion: spend 100k and get a bottle of soju, I didn't want it but the staff never asked me about it, either they didn't know or keep it for themselves or didn't bother to do so. It was very very cold from time to time, I assume the mall door was opening and the flow of cold air was flowing into the restaurant (it's -20 in the evening) I will definitely come back, but the service side desired a significant...

Service was bad, had to wave for like 5 min for waitress. They don’t change the grill at all so the second and the third round of BBQ tastes like ash, and the cheese corn?? They put cheap 1000MNT plastic cheese on top of canned corn and sell for 12kMNT?
