👎 This is not a place I would return to (or recommend) for off-site meetings/off-site meetings. An offsite was held for 1.5 days at this restaurant. 1. The Internet was slow. 2. The rooms are quite dark and cold. 3. The music was loud (the facilitators asked the staff to turn it down, they didn’t). 4. At the end of the workshop, and after everyone left the room, I needed to make a call (and couldn't go into the restaurant area since it was very crowded - lunch time). I was in the corner of the room (away from everything) and was told I couldn’t be in the room because the restaurant needed to be set up for the next event. I was consciously not in their way and told them that it was very loud in the restaurant and they said I needed to go out of the room and “good luck”. 5. All of us ordered lunch, and I ordered mine to go. When the food was brought out, a gentleman asked who ordered a burger, and I replied that I did, but mine was to go. He had an extra one in his hand and I said - are you sure this is mine as I had mine to go. He said yes. So I took it. 10 minutes later, a to-go order comes out and then it goes to another colleague who was waiting for their food. Turns out the burger I took wasn’t mine. The waiter gave me the wrong order even though I told him I was waiting for a to-go order. Then the waitress who took my order came to me and said I took the wrong order, I told her that the waiter before said the one I was given was mine. Then she went to a colleague of mine and very loudly told her that I took her order and that I took the wrong order and that it was my fault. She said this very loudly multiple times where it was just uncomfortable. Points 4 and 5 could have been easily fixed with better communication and better customer service. I will definitely not be returning here given my experience.

Pretty atrocious experience with the hi-tea being the absolute worst value and quality I could imagine. The venue has no fans or ventilation for the summer. So avoid on a hot day as the terrace has very limited seating. Hi tea comes with a soup, quiche, some finger sandwiches and small sweets. Soup was very basic tomato soup, quiche was this half-assed omelette baked into a little bit of baking paper. Insultingly uninspired, bland and just pitiful portions. The sandwiches were laughable. I had better packed lunch in kindergarten. Bread was smushed and incredibly sweet so packaged processed flour bread. Filling was inconsistent and just terrible quality. Vegetables were bland and completely unseasoned. Presentation is lazy. There was a seafood allergy so a request for no tuna, but no alternative was offered or suggested. And almost every single sandwich was smeared with tuna, showing they had a dirty chopping board with chefs that don't respect the hygiene or cleanliness of the kitchen. "Sweets" were no better. Packaged products whacked onto a plate with a coulis. "Scones" that were actually raisin buns. Never experienced bread fraud before, that's a first. No clotted cream, but some monstrosity with questionable consistency. Service was friendly and attentive but they needed to do a lot of heavy lifting to make up for the other aspects. Really, one of the worst places to spend your money.

Large group bookings are high risk. And by large group, I mean 25 people. I worked in a restaurant so these pose a significant challenge especially for small kitchens. Your other tables get backed up, the bar staff are in high demand to turn around drinks, getting all the food out is taxing. Organisation and planning is essential together with impressing on the guests they have to play ball and be supportive. So here we were: a group of 25 sitting in what looked like a converted warehouse in North Amsterdam overlooking the river in a late summer evening. It’s 9pm, we’ve been here for two hours still waiting for main courses. The mind boggles when the menu is reduced to three options per course. A pre-order menu should have been sent as it appeared the (open) kitchen only had one person working that night and the bar staff were challenged and strained. We could see courses leaving the kitchen for other tables of 2-4. How was the food? Unremarkable save for the brownie which was packed with walnuts and topped with cold vanilla ice cream. Would I come back? This trendy area of Amsterdam is replete with good restaurants so highly unlikely.

Oh boy, where do I start?

We were a table of six, and although admittedly some of us where late due to work related reasons, service was really slow overall and kinda confused? Every order (and I do mean every order) took ages to arrive. One starter was served with mozzarella on top despite the guest that ordered ot asking for it to be removed because they're vegan. Luckily, this wasn't a big deal because they just took the cheese away and that was that. However, we also had main courses arrive cold to the table TWICE, and a desert with an ice cream side served on what another guest described as a dirty and crusty plate with noticeable fingerprints on it. To add insult to injury, by the time that dish was finally served, that same ice cream side had melted completely.Needles to say, the guest sent the desert back and didn't even bother to ask for a replacement.

Near the end, after ordering our final round of drinks (which again, took ages to arrive) we noticed the server, with our drinks, passing us and go to the other end of the restaurant to another table. Once they realized they where at the wrong table, they then proceeded to walk all the way back, passing our table once again, and reach the bar where they were kindly, finally, redirected to us.

As for the food, I know one of the guests liked their cauliflower, so kudos to that. The fried appetizers where actually quite nice as well. I wasn't really in love with the linguine I ordered, but I guess it was passable.

I will admit that, at the very least, the servers where calm and friendly throughout the night, and frankly, I don't feel like they where the only ones that failed us.

Still, considering we had already been to this place less than a year ago and everything was ok, I'm wanting to find out how so many things could go wrong this time. Especially considering the place was like 3/4 empty as well.

Sorry for the harsh words, but this was the weirdest restaurant experience I've had in my...

Food was terrible to be very honest. I have eaten from many restaurants as you can see from my review history but this should count towards my least favourite of them.

The time between starter and dinner was more than one hour. The whole of my team found this unacceptable. To sell more drinks they have kept the long waiting times The waiting time between dinner and dessert was also very long but was acceptable. Waiters were really helpful and brought the drinks on time on every instance.

I ate salmon as a starter and it felt like its coming straight from the supermarket, the chicken in the dinner was dry as hell, it felt as if they had only thrown salt in it.

No next time for me. However i found the restaurant to be very cozy but the food and long waiting time between orders let it down.

Update 24-10-2023: Disregarding feedback is the most harmful response a business can have. One of the waitresses pointed out that the item mentioned on our menu was chicken, but I was still unaware of what I had consumed. This should be considered a significant issue, especially when your staff provides inaccurate information about the food they serve. I worry that such misinformation could lead to serving meat to someone who is vegetarian, which, from your perspective, might not be deemed wrong., and naturally, you wouldn't know the specific group I came with. Please don't dismiss this review as if it was misplaced; I have left substantial amount of reviews on google. I wouldn't mistakenly post a review about the wrong restaurant; I am more...
