In Short: AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR EVENING RUINED!
Visited this restaurant last night with friends. This was my third visit personally. The owners overcharged us and did not wish to discuss it. So we reluctantly paid the bill, however they shouldn't expect me to ever return.
The ambiance of the restaurant is so-so. Its not great, but its not bad either. Staff is inexperienced and it took them quite a while after seating us at our table, to take our first order for drinks. After that was taken care off, we were able to swiftly start our meal. Our fondue broths were poured and we could start to "enjoy" our evening. Or so we thought... The products placed on the conveyor belt were mostly the same things over and over again. Noodles noodles and more noodles. Occasionally some meat, fish, or shrimps, even some stray vegetables. But its was very hard to get a decent fondue going. Especially with multiple people on one table, it took quite a while for all to get what they wanted into their broths.
All in all, we saw maybe 6 shrimps, the entire evening. 2-3 plates with a few ultra thin slices of beef and the same can be said for the fish and greens.
The sushi was also a total letdown. Some dude in the kitchen, using plastic molds, squeezing -way to much- rice into them, so guests would fill up sooner and not nearly enough toppings. Sushi is meant to be a little bit of rice with a decent amount of toppings. Not the other way around. The rice used for the sushi was bland and sometimes even undercooked. When sushi we ordered was delivered to our table, it was just dumped at the center without asking who ordered which dish. Even when i told them i ordered something, they would still just dump it in the middle of the table. The staff was uninterested and looking quite gloomy. There was probably more joy in a funeral home than in this restaurant.
If i could rate this restaurant less than 1 star, i would because they dont even deserve a 1-star rating.
10/10 i will never ever eat here again! If you want to enjoy yourself and eat good sushi. Go to Kodoo in Valkenburg or Tokyoto in Maastricht. Both shops serve MUCH better food and they do it with a smile. Also you wont get ripped...
Read moreIt was my first time going to a sushi restaurant with both a sushi train and a fondue/hotpot. It is definitely worth a try! Even though I saw almost no nigiri, the other sushi was good! Sometimes, they would fall apart, but food will be mushed up in your stomach anyway. The fondue was a nice change of pace. You could choose what you'd like, and the little plates will indicate the cooking time. If you didn't see anything you'd like on the train, you can always ask one of the friendly staff! The staff was professional and kind, which contributed to the ambience. The music choice was.... unique. But that might have to do with my general dislike towards pop music. I experienced it as a but too fast-paced. Nevertheless, I had a great experience and I will be...
Read moreI came with my colleague and we didn't know that it was an all-you-can eat sushi & hotpot (or at least that's what they claimed). There is no information on the front door how much it is per person, not in the menu, not in website either. I don't like surprises and now I am worried because my colleague hasn't sent me the tikkie. I am afraid that they overcharged us and my colleague is hesitating.
The sushi options are mediocre, mostly sushi rolls, not that many nigiri. The only merit is that you can experience typical Japanese kaiten-zushi. Friendly staff though.
I personally don't recommend this place, until I know how much we paid. I will wait for the tikkie and reconsider my...
