Bistro TG — Restaurant in Haarlem

Updated review 30-12-18: Wow a place can really take a plunge within a time span. I came back to Haarlem so excited to dine in at Thrill Grill again and boy were we disappointed. Service was absolutely absurd since the only time we saw our waiter was when she dropped off our food. We had to flag her down just to take our order after having waited 20 minutes. When our food came it looked like the frites have been made into crisps and the burger was so over that it wasn’t even juicy. Then when it came time to pay we had to approach the counter because by then we were already over the poor service we were receiving. I’m sorry but understaffing around holiday times shouldn’t come at a cost to your customers.

Wouldn’t recommend this place unless you enjoy waiting half an hour for service plus additional time to receive your food.

Stayed in Haarlem while on vacation and came across Thrill Grill when my husband and I were looking for a spot to have lunch at. Came across this restaurant located near the church and decided to give it a try. There’s plenty of seating both outside and inside but we decided on inside because the decoration was cute and the ambiance was cozy. Our waitress was super helpful and attentive as soon as we came in.

When we both ordered my husband got the burger their known for which is the Classic Beef Thriller with their classic French Fries. I got a Chicken Burger along with a certain type of French Fries, which I believe no longer is on the menu, with a Chocolate Milkshake. Overall the burger was extremely juicy, the chicken was moist and super flavorful, the fries were the perfect crispiness, and the milkshake was one of the best I’ve ever had.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great burgers and milkshakes. Thrill Grill one of my husbands favorite restraints in Haarlem and we can’t wait to come back to try all the new things they...

Be careful don't sit here,,!!!. We arrived as a large group of 15 people, the waiter said that because of the size of the group, the first table would get the food and just a few minutes later another table would get it. We ordered steaks and they brought two small steaks on one plate without saying anything. In practice it turned out that they placed the order of the other table without being able to understand it. The other table waited for a long time, about an hour, and only after several inquiries did they bring him the food After we were all done, they told us that it was a mistake on their part in the communication, so we would get a ten percent discount. When they brought the bill it turned out that we were also charged for steaks that we didn't order A waitress arrived who first brought a bill which was correct and then came back and brought another bill in which she also charged us for food that was not ordered by us at all The person in charge was completely antipathetic... In short, top notch service of scammers I wouldn't come close Total disappointment when we asked to speak to the manager she just said he wasn't found This is a place that does not respect itself If i could i put zero...

Mouthwatering burgers. Tantalizing Umami Fries. Impeccable service. Great location. Unique and clean washrooms. A must go if you’re visiting the area.

Food: I had the Classic Beef Double while my friends had the beef double, and the Peruvian beef thriller. Beef patty was succulent, cooked to perfection. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, bun was nice and soft, a perfect burger. I absolutely would have gotten another if not for my tight budget.

The umami fries were umami, paired with the black garlic mayo, a side you definitely must try.

Service: Great service, despite the place being busy, wait staff are attentive and helpful, and when I asked for Tabasco sauce, which they didn’t have, they suggested a chilli sauce that reminded me of the chilli sauce we have back in Singapore. Just amazing.

Price: €12.50 for a good burger with two patties and €4.95 for a reasonably large bowl of fries. An absolute steal.

Would I recommend? YES. They have good deals for their chicken, and if you look at my pictures, they have pretty awesome deals and contests for you to take part in. Go with friends, go with family, go alone. Just go and visit this...
