Ever since I came across this restaurant while biking around the neighbourhood, I have been wanting to try out their menu. Especially their desserts in the display counter that I was eyeing on from behind the windows. Fast forward two months, I finally got around to order the protein chickpea curry with paneer and the exotic tropical cake through Uber Eats. First off, the cake looked amazing, they did a great job assembling and decorating it. On their website it was advertised as a vegan pistachio cake, unfortunately it did not have the faintest taste of pistachio. The cake was moist and the texture was inbetween dense and fluffy, unlike a superfluffy genoise sponge cake. I was not impressed by the cake itself because of the lack of flavour but the cream layers were very nice, although it could've used more cream (but then again to me there's never enough cream on cake :p). The cream didn't taste much like coconut but the texture was on point, light and creamy like non-vegan whipped cream. The fruit-flavored jelly in the layers were a nice sweet and tangy addition to complete the overall tasting experience of the cake and I think it would be even more complementary if jam instead of jelly was used, for a softer mouthfeel. The curry was nothing short of flavorful and aromatic, a bit sour (from the tomatoes I reckon) and very salty. It was heavily spiced with garam masala spices. I definitely recommend getting paneer with it (or tofu if you're vegan) to have some different textures to chew on. I couldn't finish it all of it so I put it in the fridge and the next day it tasted even better :) Had a wonderful meal, thank you! Recommended to everyone!

Wow what a really nice find! Kisaan focuses on vegan/vegetarian menu based off Indian food. A relatively small establishment operating a small yet cozy sit down restaurant. Started operations before Covid and have managed to survive thru with focus on local vendors (veggies, beer and drinks). Simple menu but very fresh and tasty. The server was extremely approachable and knowledgeable with good suggestions. We rarely give high marks for an Indian restaurant but this one is two thumbs up. I gave it a full rating and don’t be fooled by the simple entrance to the resturant. Try it out and finish up with a cup of Indian chai with full fragrance of exotic spices🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👍

Delicious food and lovely staff! I ordered samosas, lentillicious curry and pistachio cake last week via Ubereats and was really impressed by the portion size and flavours. As an Indian person, I can say it’s the most authentic Indian food you can find in The Hague. The cake was also the best I have had in The Netherlands, soft and not overly sweet! I also ate in the restaurant and had samosa cholle which was presented beautifully and spiced just right! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to have authentic Indian food in the Netherlands!

One word - wow! We ordered some of their cakes on a whim to round off a family dinner. They arrived in no time at all, beautifully packaged with a sweet note from the owner. The raspberry chocolate cake was so decadent, truly beautiful contrast of chocolate and fruit, and not to sweet. We tried the masala chai as well - I was impressed with the depth of flavor, you can really taste the spices. Amazing! The price point is excellent - we ordered three of their cakes, thinking that they were individual sized, and were so surprised to see that we could easily have shared one among our family! Have been indulging this whole week...
