43 Degrees Cafe — Restaurant in Christchurch

I was on a business trip nearby and this was one of the closer places so I ended up trying it. They do have parking outside and do look to have multiple levels of seating but I was just at the bottom as I was getting something for takeaway. There was a fair number of seats in the bottom area. They did have a menu but I opted for cabinet food as I spied a Scotch Egg. They also did have a range of sweet treats, both cold and room temp pastries. I did also grab a hot chocolate and that was ok. The scotch egg was quite nice. The breading on the outside was crispy and the mince was nicely seasoned. I have been to 43 degree cafe around 11:30am - 12:40pm twice to three times each month , location is good and between residential and commercial area , not very crowded during lunch time , upstair floor and balcony are available but not open often , parking area is enough , the quality of drinks and foods are so far so good , selling prices of drinks and foods are similar to other cafe shop , quite expensive , counter and table services are acceptable . Stopped in one morning at this cafe for a bite to eat and a drink while staying in Christchurch. I won’t be back! One of the items I ordered was a smoothie and tasted like the ingredients had gone off. Staff were rude and dismissive when mentioned and begrudgingly made another one, this was no better and just tasted like sugar syrup. I’m not sure these people know what a smoothie...
