Raviz Botany — Restaurant in Howick

Generally I don't give any negative review for restaurants, but I would like to share my worst experience that I had with Rangoli, we, 3 couples with a 10 month old baby went yesterday for dinner & we ordered Chinese food, it took them 2 hours to serve our dinner. Everytime we ask them how much time it will take, the stupid Manager tell us a minute, & generally it take them 15 mins to serve one plate.

And we asked waitress why other tables are getting food on time & not us. Stupid lady told us because you guys have ordered Chinese food that's the reason, you are getting slow compare to others

And once we finished our starter , they gave us soup. None of the staff was ready to listen & even they didn't apologise.

I just want to tell, to the owners of Rangoli, that customers r not fool, so please don't treat them like that.

Please train ur staff, how to talk to the customers & specially to the dumb manager.

Worst...

I will strongly defy going to this Indian restaurant for dining in near future.

I'm only rating it cause of the food I order was fairly good. Customer service of this restaurant is simply horrendous. No welcoming, no politeness, no friendliness, no smile and no interest of any staff working there...... Simply pathetic. No one bothers to advice on the menu, no one bothers to check whether the food placed on table was ok, no one checks on any additional needs of the customers and even while billing the staff acted too smart and rude. I have noticed the same for all the diners.

Also the order takes a while to be on the table. Waited for our breads for 10 minutes after the mains were served.

I don't understand how diners have manage to rate this place so high with zero customer service and no ambience or flair.

Definately not recommended to any food...

The moment I tasted the first bite of their food, it took me straight to Paradise. In all honesty I experienced exact same thing as the movie "Ratatouille", the food reminded me of Mother's cooking. Given the amount of customers and busy period, they kept the standards up real high for their food and service. I can differentiate between a Restaurant and a Home made food very easily but it was hard for me to evaluate if the food was really from restaurant as it had that home cooked taste to it. It was divine experience. Their service was amazing, staff greeted me the moment I entered the premises. Their curries are authentic with a unique taste, the most softest naan and roti I have ever tasted. Finding this restaurant is like hitting a jackpot. Words aren't enough to describe the happiness. Its a must try...
