Gorilla Burger Wellington Airport — Restaurant in North Island

I recently departed from Wellington domestic airport on a plane, and boy cryky, did I want a burger! Famished! Thankfully I saw a ravishing gorilla poised upon a sign, and upon investigation, the gorilla served me food! I was delighted! Unfortunately, the burger transformed into a bundle of bananas - just kidding, had what a I thought was perhaps a hint of chickery. The meat was plausable, veggies fresh-ish and sauces slightly underallocated but remarkable in other respects. De-lish! Made me think of home. As in I could probably make it at home. Accessibility is important....

I had a long wait at Wellington Airport and thought to grab something to eat. I ordered the ($13) Loaded Fries - Birria beef, cheese, sour cream and BBQ sauce. The front staff were fine, took my order simply and told me where to wait. The food came out relatively, and was fresh and hot. Just before we began the first leg of our journey I decided to treat myself to one of my favourite burgers in Wellington. Little did I know that the airport version of Gorilla Burger was beyond inedible. What was supposed to be a goodbye treat turned into one of the worst meals I’ve had in my life.
