Altitude is located about a 15-minute drive from Queenstown at the marina. The brewery was originally there âon its ownâ but over the years, the marina has grown to have a variety of places to eat and drink. The brewery also has a couple of Food Trucks that are on a kind of rotating schedule. Details are available on the brewery website or just rock up and be âfood truck surprised!â đ
The taproom itself is quite small but there is undercover seating outside which would be lovely on a sunny day. Considering the size of the brewery, they produce quite a few beers throughout the year. I had 4 tastings and for me, the âSingle Track Mindâ Red IPA was the standout. I purchased a few to take home, including the Irish Stout, which I canât wait to try.

Read moreIâm from Gold Coast, a place that arguably has the biggest craft beer enthusiasts and breweries. Let me tell you something, Iâve been in nz for a few months now and when I came into this spot and tried the strawberry kiwi fruit sour, it was hands down the best sour Iâve had in a long long time, big up the brewmaster. The sour was a smoothie like consistency that was packed with a refreshing and creamy taste. Every sip was literally amazing and I was sad when it was finished as $15 a pop can be quite steep to continue consuming, but it was worth every penny. I noticed they didnât use many ingredients, this could be a key to why it was so bomb? One ingredient I did see on the can was vanilla and I think this is what made it a game changer! I love this brewery so much and canât wait to try more of there...
Read moreVery authentic. And shorter delivery routes from Producer to customer do not exisr. They build in the back and tap in the front. You can sit outside and inside (if what is free and not reserved). A super friendly team is happy to advise you on the many varieties of beer. There's a food truck out front (didn't try it). Also the beer (me especially the ginger beer) is delicious.
Only criticism: I find that a table in a full house can not be used because it is reserved for later is stupid. Table reservations does not fit the cool, alternative, brewery direct...
