I love their high top chairs. Really comfortable. Not too noisy & not too quiet. The team were friendly (maybe because I was joking a lot), but they were pleasant. They have various choices of milk (coconut, soy, dairy etc.) Funny enough I asked the two friendly gentlemen for milk choices & they noted they had only dairy ONLY until the Supervisor/'Manager heard their response and told me they have the various options noted above (odd silence from them). Well I had my mocha with coconut milk. Really nice. Manager told me that normally more options of milk are available..skim & almond. Really thought that was fantastic.
I gave her the advice to really understand why the two gentleman initially noterno other options apart from diary. Even if an extra charge, let me decide of I want it or not.
UPDATE:
Dear Vestar Coffee,
I love your Store opening hours, so I had planned from last night to come in early, focus on some dedicated work and then head to church around 9:30am. The whole morning was planned. I was there at 8:15am Sunday, 29th September. I bought a Tazo Tea for N1,000 and sat down to try and do some work for an hour before heading off to church. My phone was dead so I was not able to use my hotspot and then I looked up and remembered that there was “Free Wi-Fi”. When I went to ask for the code, I was told that I had to bring my device up to the register for them to put the code in. They noted that they no longer write out the code. I was shocked and asked why. They noted that it was the directive given.
You have a section where customers can leave comments. I immediately went over there to leave a comment and there was no signature post-its or pen. I asked for the post-it and was told you ran out. So, I have no choice but to resort to leaving my comment here.
I find it actually unprofessionally and honestly insulting that you will ask your customers to bring their devices up to the cashier point for your supervisor or a cashier to put in the code/passcode in the device.
From thinking through it for a moment, I can only imagine that you may be promoting this childish act because one or some persons gave you their opinion that people come in without purchasing items from Vestar Coffee because a friend of theirs already has the code and/or people use Vestar Coffee wifi on multiple devices.
Now, there are much better ways to deal with this than telling a customer to bring their device up to the register for the cashier to put in the code while they hold the device up for the cashier. I will start with the simplest and move on from there which will NOT entail you asking a customer to bring their device.
1 – STOP offering Free Wifi. Offerring of Wifi is a good selling point, but it is extremely disrespectful when it is used as if your customers are not professionals. In which country have you ever heard of a customer bringing their device to the cashier to put in the code? 2 - Perform a more realistic analysis of how/when wifi is used the most 3 – Change the passcode on a daily basis so customers need to get a new passcode whenever they come in. Train your staff to change the passcode. 4 – Have your staff politely greet customers that have come in, sat down but not yet placed an order. 5 - Restrict your wifi so it cannot be used to download and play videos and/or any other heavy activity etc.
There are so many ways of getting through this issue that does not have to resort you asking for a customer to bring their laptop or whatever device up to the cashier to put in the passcode. I find that demeaning and obvious that this will only happen in this country. Do you not think other coffee shops in other countries are concerned and also try to manage the usage of wifi? Let me bring your attention to one of your competitors “My Coffee” to be precise the one on Ozuma (Wings Building), they have wifi but I can say it is crappy. It is not strong enough even to log on and does not work half of the time. The Customers still go there and enjoy their...
Read moreI ordered for 2 cappuccinos and asked the girl to make it extra strong, which from my experience of buying and drinking coffee almost every day from different places means less milk, more coffee. She responded with 'if you wanted it strong you should have gone with doppio'. My brother and I were so taken aback that we told her not to be angry, took our coffee and left. Upon tasting the coffee, true to our expectations it was filled with milk which might be okay for people who don't care about the strength of their coffee. I'm taking my time to type this cos I feel it was a really horrible experience from the customer service angle and considering it was my first time at Vestar and I convinced my brother to come cos I saw you guys at the gtb fair, its not one I would like to repeat. Do better for other...

I just had the warmest, loveliest, chocolate chip muffin and an equally warm, rich, brownie.
I had to ask if the muffin was honey cornbread, for the sake of my unsophisticated palate (see below and response from Vespar [turns out updating one’s review removes the response from the owner. They were very nice about it anyway]), and the barista vehemently indicated that it wasn’t as if he knew my previous struggles.
Their sandwiches and melts remain great.

Previous review:
Three stars because I believe I had one of the worst muffins of my life over here. I was regretting it hours later and the memory still haunts me.
Otherwise, it’s a nice enough place. Their Suya melt (? Sandwich? Toastie?) is quite nice and gives me hope that not everything on their menu is like...
