Our recent dinner at Just Thai Molito offered a familiar foray into the vibrant flavors of Thai cuisine, though the experience presented a mix of delightful highs and areas where expectations weren't entirely met. Settling into the restaurant, the ambiance was pleasant, setting a comfortable stage for our anticipated meal. Our order encompassed a selection of classic Thai dishes: the quintessential Pad Thai, the aromatic Chicken Pandan, the savory Bagoong Rice, and the ever-refreshing Thai Milk Tea to accompany our culinary journey. The Pad Thai, a dish often considered a benchmark of Thai cooking, arrived looking visually appealing with its tangle of rice noodles, scattered peanuts, and vibrant bean sprouts. While the overall taste profile was undeniably good, hitting the essential sweet, sour, and savory notes, there was a noticeable absence of that distinct smoky "wok hei" flavor that elevates a truly exceptional Pad Thai. This subtle lack detracted slightly from the dish's depth, preventing it from reaching its full potential. The noodles were cooked adequately, maintaining a pleasant chewiness, and the other components, such as the tofu and shrimp, were fresh. However, the missing smoky essence left a lingering feeling that something was just a touch off, a nuance that seasoned Thai food enthusiasts might readily pick up on. Moving on to the Chicken Pandan, the presentation was traditional, with fragrant pandan leaves encasing small parcels of chicken. While the aroma upon unwrapping the leaves was enticing, the chicken itself proved to be just okay. The marinade offered a hint of sweetness and herbal notes from the pandan, but the chicken lacked a certain succulence and tenderness that would have made the dish truly memorable. It wasn't necessarily poorly prepared, but it didn't leave a lasting positive impression either, falling into the realm of a satisfactory yet unremarkable offering. Perhaps a more intense marination or a slightly different cooking technique could have elevated this dish. The Bagoong Rice, on the other hand, made a statement with its generous serving size, a definite plus for those with hearty appetites. The colorful array of accompaniments, including green mangoes, fried shallots, scrambled egg, and chili, promised a textural and flavorful adventure. However, the rice itself seemed to deviate from the typically used fragrant jasmine rice. While still palatable, the texture and aroma lacked the delicate floral notes that are characteristic of high-quality jasmine rice, which is often a key component in authentic Thai rice dishes. This subtle difference impacted the overall experience of the Bagoong Rice, as the foundation of the dish felt slightly less refined than anticipated. Despite the plentiful toppings and the savory punch of the bagoong (shrimp paste), the choice of rice detracted somewhat from the dish's potential. Fortunately, the Thai Milk Tea proved to be a resounding success. Its vibrant orange hue was instantly appealing, and the taste lived up to its visual promise. The perfect balance of strong brewed tea, creamy milk, and just the right amount of sweetness created a truly refreshing and satisfying beverage. It was the kind of Thai Milk Tea that hits all the right notes, a delightful counterpoint to the savory dishes and a welcome quencher on a warm evening. The drink was expertly prepared, leaving a pleasant aftertaste and solidifying its position as the highlight of our culinary experience at Just Thai Molito. In conclusion, our dinner at Just Thai Molito presented a mixed bag of experiences. While the Pad Thai was enjoyable but lacked a crucial smoky element, and the Chicken Pandan was merely adequate, the Bagoong Rice, despite its generous serving, seemed to utilize a less traditional rice variety. The true standout of the evening was undoubtedly the Thai Milk Tea, which was exceptionally good and refreshingly authentic. Overall, the meal was satisfactory, but with a few adjustments, particularly in enhancing the wok flavor of the Pad Thai and ensuring the...

Tom yum 🌕🌕🌕🌓 we ordered the wrong type. The absence of coconut milk made the soup look unappealing. Theirs is a bit on the sour side, I didn’t taste galangal but it’s delicious none the less. The soup portion is good enough for up to 7 persons I think, you just have to fight over the meat which is more on mussels than shrimp. Squid with garlic and peppers 🌕🌕🌕🌕 this I like a lot, but, it tasted more chinese than Thai, it lacks the sour and spicy. The squid is tender. Pad Thai 🌕🌕🌓 this is a sad pad Thai; a big brown blob on a plate. The chicken felt and tasted frozen, it had about 5 tiny tofu pieces, I had one piece of bean sprout, the noodles are too soggy for my liking, it’s on the sour side. Being a must have Thai food I hope they revisit their recipe. Crab fried rice 🌕🌕 I only eat crab when I REALLY WANT TO due to my allergies. My wife who is a crab fried rice “connoisseur” didn’t enjoy it, the crab flavor is missing. And the rice their use I believe isn’t even Thai rice. Spring roll (pork) 🌕🌕🌕 I really don’t expect much from a fresh spring roll, I believe the taste really comes from the dipping sauce. 2 sauces were given one was vinegar and the other is house made which had a peanut & sweet & sour taste. What sets theirs different is the inclusion of minced pork which added flavor to an otherwise bland roll. Price point to serving size and...

It was Mother's Day and we don't have plans of going out since my mom wasn't feeling well. But at the last minute my mom went to church at 7pm and we didn't know where to eat in Molito since it was packed. 😅 Luckily, there's still a place to dine here at Just Thai. It was our first time too. I have to be honest the place looks okay but it really looks very dim at night. I don't know if it was just my eyes but I suggest that they have to put more lighting inside the restaurant. The food we ordered was good. I just didn't like that Tom yum soup. The dessert was yummy but it was too sweet. The guy server was the best. He was very polite, accommodating, fast, and very kind knowing it was very busy. I don't know but he was very calm and had a very good vibe. I got his name but I already forgot. He was perfect! 👍🙌 They were generous too. Because they gave my mom a keychain as a Mother's Day gift. Very kind gesture.❤️

Even though some food was not so good I still love their service. Anyway, there's always room for improvement but the way you treat your guests will always...
