My wife and I went to BGC for some errands and decided to have dinner there to let the rush hour traffic subside. We decided to check online to see what’s new and good in BGC. We saw Tomatito in the booky website in their 10 most loved restaurants in BGC, so we decided to give it a try. We went to the restaurant but it was fully booked with reservations. Their staff was very nice and asked me to leave my number so that they may inform us if a table becomes available. My wife and i got excited because of the great reviews that we read online and the fact that the place was packed on a weekday! Soon enough, we got a text that a table was available to accomodate us.

We had the Mini Tenderloin Steaks, Fried Baby Squid, and Seafood Paella. In all honesty, their food is not bad at all. However, the biggest concern and the most disappointing part is the food’s serving. The quantity of the food is definitely not what you’d expect and definitely not worth the price. The paella especially, wasn’t even enough for 1 person. The rice was barely an inch from the bottom of the pan it was served in; with 4 shrimps, 3 clams, and 3 mussels. And mind you, the paella alone was 1,135 pesos! We thought that the food we ordered was more than enough for two people, but it was not. This is the first time in a while that i left a restaurant still hungry, and it was not a pleasant experience.

I would like to commend their staff though. Their service was top notch, this is the only reason that i did not give a 1 star rating. But overall, i would not recommend this restaurant and we will definitely...

Had dinner here for a despedida dinner and get-together. Quite fortunate that I was able to get a table via Zomato’s reservation feature, as based on experience, this restaurant is typically full.

We were already bit full before coming here. We just wanted a drink and planned to order a couple of dishes, as we knew servings were pica-pica sizes and were pricey. However, we ended up ordering four dishes and 2 pitchers or Sangria 😆 That’s how good the food and drinks are.. or how tipsy we were 😉

We had the Bombas de Jamon, Salmon TNT, Chipirones a la Andaluza, Croquetas de chorizo y jamon Iberico. Everything was SO GOOD. I wished they had party tray versions, especially of the salmon and the Iberian ham, as I could eat these nonstop 👍🏼 Red Wine Sangria was also refreshing and has a nice kick to it.

Staff was pretty attentive, quick and responsive. At some point, if they see that our glasses are almost empty, they’ll pour the drink themselves. Either they’re proactive or they want to quickly make us drunk and sleepy (kidding 😊).

Love the ambiance as well. There was sufficient space, unlike in other bars where you can practically hear what the people in the other table are talking about. Our friends and I can also talk and hear each other without having to shout and strain our voices (ahem, Barcino Burgos Circle).

We ended up paying almost PHP3,000. A bit steep, but worth it! Will...

I love the ambiance of this resto. Clean restos, open kitchen where you can attest that the kitchen looks organized and clean, and the entire resto itself feels good to hang out to specially with officemates, reunion with friends and batchmates. Perhaps dinner or wine nights with bosses or head honchos of your company. The staff are also efficient specially Phyl who was our server. I went to this resto for dinner with my family and I ordered fried baby squid and fried pork belly for my kids since they like to eat something crunchy with rice. I was surprised that the meat was tender and crunchy. I was actually conditioning my mind and my gums that the meat will be challenging to munch but surprisingly not. My kids like them. I ordered Broken eggs with chorizo and ham which is served with sunny side up eggs on top. It was very tasty and good though there are more fried tomatoes than meat...hahaha.. I was actually trying to dig in for more chorizo but sadly it was really for one person. The mixed Chorizo casserole with roasted garlic and rosemary was okay but not so great. It was just okay. It was quite salty for my taste and the meatball was a bit hard. Next time will try their...

Quite pricey, not value for money. Had the minced chicken and chorizo on nachos, it was salty but did not get the chorizo flavor. The salmon on what looked like a pacencia crunchy biscuit was good. Bbq pork on onion rings was very tender and savory, had the right amount of smoky flavor. Had the chorizo caserole, was expecting a caserole in tomato sauce but it was only a tiny bit of tomato paste that it was just oily altogether. If the aim was to bring out the oil of the chorizo, it did not achieve that either. I paired the caserole with the bread (Php95.00) that were not even warm. I was hoping to dip the bread but, again, not as oily and not as saucy as a caserole should be. The breads were very, very ordinary, don't order it. Menu says "excellent" bread selection. The passion fruit sangria is too diluted and overpriced, like how fastfood puts ice on your soda cup. More juice, no jazz that a sangria should give. And served in a short glass. So unexpected of a sangria. The latin music is too loud. It was not salsa night. Not a good place if you want to have a good conversation. Not worth a try.
