Attracted by groupon, recently I visited this place. Let’s start with a beautiful decor and a nice ambient atmosphere (minus the soda fridge with a big sign of Coca-Cola). My friend and I sat down and looked at the menu. Since I love hot Sake, I asked if the house sake can be warmed up and got a NO on that. In fact there was only one Sake available. My mind went to wonder why the full soda fridge and no Sake. I ordered the only Sake they had, served COLD and soon our platter arrived. Me and the owner discussed Uromaki and Fotomaki, while we both agreed that the true Sushi is just Raw Fish, great! I decided to do my sushi test on them, I ordered Tuna Tartare. What arrived did not meet my expectations: little layer of raw tuna, with slices of avocado, set on a big bed of rice. I tried to argue that the tartare on rice is an oxymoron, and that tuna tartare is... please google, but a second owner emerged from the kitchen, so called: sushi chef and argued that she has a diploma and that rice belongs on the plate (price 64 zloty for 100 grams of tuna). We also had some Eel Rolls (I will not diverge into what Maki) and it was uneatable! Drained in an awfully sweet source I could not put enough soy sauce to kill the sweet taste, eel rolls should be balanced, that is the skill. Sushi Master said that the sauce comes from Japan, couldn’t argue there. I was disappointed again, but she is a Sushi Master and not me. Lastly being polite, we spoke a little about their business and found out that none of them, making Sushi for 10 years in Cracow, been to Japan and Sushi Master does not eat fish!!! Well, strike three. I only know one chef that did not taste his food, his name is...
Read moreFinally got around to writing a review after having visited several times. This is our favorite sushi restaurant in Krakow. We haven't been disappointed yet - the sushi is always very fresh and well made with high quality ingredients. My partner's favorite roll is the eel futomaki (which is quite sweet due to the kanpyo - sweet marinated gourd), while I especially love their shrimp temaki. The premium Goshiki roll made with rice paper is also a favorite of ours. The sushi chef makes many of the sauces herself. Highly...
Read moreThis sushi restaurant is a bit off the beaten track, but it's worth a visit! In a very welcoming and friendly environment you can enjoy good sushi. The owners are very nice, easy-going and happy to talk to anyone visiting their restaurant! We had a takeaway and while waiting for our order we were served with orange juice. The food was nicely packed with all additions (we also got two cookies 😉). The wakame salad was really good, the sushi was also good but next time I would go for pieces without...
