i see what they’re going for and i appreciate the vegan options, but this was a surprisingly unenjoyable for me and my boyfriend, i’ve never had food that was hard to eat before! hopefully just an off day for them! most of the other reviews are so good so this was very unexpected for us! i ordered the falafel with beetroot hummus for €12.90 and my boyfriend got the agave fruit pancakes for €10.90. the falafel was completely flavorless, not even salt. not sure if this is on purpose or if they genuinely forgot to season it. the beetroot hummus was a weird temperature and had a strange flavor to it, and the salad had no dressing, but the quinoa was fine. i liked the quinoa the best, and i don’t even typically like quinoa! i had a weird aftertaste in my mouth for hours after. i think from the “yogurt” sauce on the falafel! my boyfriend found the agave fruit pancakes way too dense and slightly undercooked, making them too dry and too sticky all at the same time. however, the staff were very kind and informative, the food looked beautiful, and the environment was comforting and pleasing! really hoping they were just having a rough day! or maybe my expectations were too high after...

What a fantastic discovery so close to Forum Aveiro! Balance FitFood has a great menu selection, including brunch, lunch, vegetarian/vegan, and much more. I loved the crispy chicken with curry hummus and my partner thoroughly enjoyed her avocado toast. We shared an Açaí bowl. Everything was tremendously flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and fresh. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and comfortable. Finally, the service is outstanding! First time visiting Aveiro and were lucky enough to find Balance Fit Food - we were very hungry and looking for something healthy but also delicious - Here we found both- we ordered the Vegan wrap and the "hamburger" - both were absolutely delicious and filling - the Vegan wrap in particular was exceptional - the freshly cooked mushrooms and tofu made the wrap amazing. The manager told us it would take 20 minutes and so we decided to walk around and explore and appreciated the honest approach - it was WELL worth the wait!
