Baía dos Golfinhos — Restaurant in Oeiras

The place itself is very nice. Right at the beach with a big lawn area. The food was okay but too expensive for Portugal and the quality. The service is a complete mess. First of all it takes ages before they even recognize you. You could order via smartphone but it was not working because none of the dishes was available through the web shop. We ordered two dishes and a milk shake. What we got after another 30 minutes was only one dish. The waitress said that we only ordered this one which was not true. After some 20 minutes more we got the next dish. Still no milkshake. The milkshake was served after we asked for it...another 20 minutes. The shake was consisting more of ice cubes then anything else. On the pro site I need to say that they served us a coffee for free to apologize. In the end I had to pay at the bar as the waitress was to busy. Food is delicious, the service inside is great but then you don't have the best of views on warm sunny days. They have a lovely outside section that overlooks the beach directly BUT you are not allowed you to order from the food selection from inside if you are seated outside. There outside menu is boring and basic. I find the service outside always lacking a sense of hospitality and friendliness, have to assume it's because they are overworked but it has changed my decision to go there a few times on a really warm lovely day when you want to be outside and eat the amazing food selection they have inside. There is no other nearby place to eat in this area after a walk so this place to eat is so expensive. We have been here several times and we don’t know why the people working here are so unhappy. We are nice people who are flexible and have been to different parts of the world but no matter how nice and friendly you are to the people working here, it just doesn’t work.

In terms of place, yes they are lucky to be the only food choice in this beautiful location.

The food is good but not wow. I would say you are only paying for the location but not worth for the quality of the food you will eat. I would recommend you bring food and just enjoy it...
