Disappointing food and service, we were a large group, without reservations, so I understand that it might cause some problems. We had issues from the start; the waitress forgot 1:4 of the party, and did not take any orders, many of us needed to ask for our drinks. This is a grill place, but there’s lasagna and calamaris on the menu, but this seems to be frozen and reheated. I had the steak, it was ok but not good enough to save the day, but the small slices did loose a lot of heat fast.
The side dishes was good, but for our big party it was confusing when some of us got the main dishes long before the others, and the side dishes was shared (but without any explanation)
At the end they served dessert, slices of cake, but not everyone was offered, that was a bit strange.
I would like to love this place; in this village there’s not many restaurants, but even without any real competition, they need to step up the game.

Read moreI am a big fan of Brazilian rodízio, but this was not it. We were both very disappointed with the food. The rice and beans were great, but that's how much I can praise it. The picanha was a brick: black on the outside and at the same time dry and raw on the inside. The chicken with bacon was very bland, yet the costella was super salty and a bit sour. Even the pineapple couldn't redeem it as it was very firm. Reading the reviews that are generally favourable I must have visited at a bad time, maybe the main chef was sick and all their bbq equipment was not functional. It's a mystery to me.
Edit: thanks for your thoughtful reply. I think you got us confused with someone else. We were not late (arrived at 13:15 according to my Google timeline) and didn't take any food home. Anyway. We won't be...
Read moreThis is a wonderful place to eat at.
The owners are super friendly, the food is to die for and so are the desserts.
My and my wife came to Peniche to unwind for the week and found this place at pure random. The rissoles were our entrees and picanha was our main dish, we were both super full at the end but still made room the dessert with the pudim.
I highly recommend you visit this place, we need more restaurants...
