Best Apetitoso Restaurantes Lda — Restaurant in Silves

We had a terrible time here, unfortunately. We didn't read the reviews beforehand and had a similar experience to some of the other reviews. We were seated around 7 in the evening and placed our order around half an hour later. Drinks were prompt as were the starters, but then our dinner never appeared. We waited long after all the other tables arriving similar times to us had eaten and left. We asked staff multiple times what was happening and were fobbed off and didn't receive apologies. When the food did arrive 1 of our party had good food but the other meals were subpar. We complained and asked for a discount on our meal as we had waited so long and the chef came out of the kitchen and screamed at us, we tried to explain that we had waited a very long time but got shouted and and he threatened to call the police on us. He also told us we hadn't waited long which was plainly untrue. The waiter told us if we didn't pay fully the chef his boss would dock his wages which I found despicable. It was the first time I ate here and the food was really good. Honestly I think this was the best picanha I had, the seasoning was the best. I never had one like it before. My other guests also really enjoyed their food as well.

The only thing that I did not like was that the picanha was very small compared to the other dishes, honestly I was not full at all in the end and I would eat more. I guess I paid 200gr of picanha and that is what I received but unfortunately it was not enough to satisfy me for a proper lunch, especially because this was the best picanha ever.

The staff was very nice, although I think one of the waitresses did not speak Portuguese at all so it was a little weird if we as guests did not...

Terrible experience. We waited over 30 mins to order. Once we ordered we waited another 30 mins for our food. When we asked the waitress what was going on she told us the items that we ordered weren't available. We then ordered something else which took another 30 mins to arrive. When the food arrived (another 30 minutes later) the chicken was completely raw in the center. Would never eat here again.
