Le Relax Self Catering Apartments — Restaurant in La Digue

Wife and I stayed in this apartment the first week of March for 6 days. Natasha the receptionist was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. Now, before I get into all of the good points, just please remember this is an apartment, not the Four Seasons. It is designed for the traveler who isn't looking to be pampered. What it is is an unusually clean, well-constructed, reasonably large one bedroom apartment. Seems to be recentlly constructed; it has a full, galley kitchen with everything but a dishwasher. It does have a new clothes washer but no dryer. Clothes dried fine in the equatorial heat. ||King bed was comfortable though firm, bedroom AC worked well, plenty of closet space and storage. Bathroom was a rain shower with good water pressure. An extra outdoor shower allows you to rinse off the beach sand before coming inside for a full shower. Towels got changed out daily and the apartment was cleaned daily by the staff.||It is truly well-located between the small town center and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. No passenger cars on the island, so do rent a bike from Le Relax or elsewhere. Wifi was good, and the TV was HD and featured a few stations from around the world. ||How could it have been improved? Enjoyed our stay at Le Relax self catering apartment. We chose it due to it's close proximity to Anse Source D'Argent. It was a quick-ish walk 20-30min - not ideal with a 4 year old in tow but we managed. Bit far from the village centre although if you hire a bike or taxi (golf caddy) it's much quicker. I must say we chose not to hire bikes as our LO is not bike safe and neither are we! 2 supermarkets close by which was a huge plus. We had a divine dinner at the Le Relax Beach House hotel on the first night and the second we walked into town- again hire a bike or catch a cab if you've got kids with you! We ate at the Fish Trap and caught a cab home. A lovely stay with friendly staff. Mattresses were ok, had better but they served their purpose. The bed is made with just a sheet, there is a second blanket in the cupboard which I landed up fishing out the second night we were there. The lounge and patio are lovely and comfortable. Kitchen utensils were well stocked and the bonus of having a washing machine was a huge relief! We each got a free wifi voucher of 300mb to send those photos home to make family jealous. We'll...

We stayed 7 days at Relax Self-Catering Apartments. It is a wonderful place. Especially our host Sagan was really great. He took great care of us and always asked if we needed anything else. The apartment was very clean and was also cleaned daily. ||||Next door is the church and the beautiful beach 20m away. Shopping facilities 2 minutes walk (small supermarket). The famous Union Estate and Anse Source d´ Argent are only a 15min/30 min walk away. ||||The apartment also has a well equipped kitchen and a washing machine.
