I decided to come hungry to try the Chicken Rice at lunch time 16th March 2025. I was seated right in front of the food display counter where they hung the chicken and prepared the food. After looking thru the menu, I decided to order a lower portion of chicken with rice for 1 pax. The waitress looked at the food counter and nonchalantly told me, "this portion don't have" ,although right in front of me hung a full display of chicken. What were they for? For show? For the next day's sale or what? The waitress expected ME to settle for the odd cuts which were left unsold so that they could clear that instead of cutting the portion from the chicken that were hanging for show only????? I wasn't going to settle for anything less than the order i was ordering from the menu. I left and ate at Wong Chiew Restaurant, just a little further down the road.... they never fail to deliver anything I order!!!!!!

I will never recommend this chicken rice from Si Hai Zhen...

Decide to go meet my wife at Springleaf MRT station for a nice Friday night dinner out. Always wanted to check out this Chinese restaurant, but it would be packed to the brim. BUT we were so lucky to just waltz in and shown to our table. Menu was easy to navigate with pics and reasonable prices. Ordered the Tofu and Chicken dish... and the ice barley drink (Nice!!!). The Tofu dish.... flavor wise... great!!! Easy to wolf it down with the steam rice. Only drawback is that the Tofu was lukewarm, but the salted egg gravy over it was warm. It would be awesome if it was heated up more. Nevertheless, a good flavor rich dish. The San Bei chicken.... wow!!! Full flavored and savory sauce, fresh chicken, with the right combination or oil and starch. Very impressed!!! Will be back for this again.

The price at this establishment is very reasonable, a nice surprise. The service is family like and pleasant. Thumbs up 👍 👌 👏

Food definitely looked good, and reviews are great so far.

However, customer's service was lack lustre. We waited for 25 mins for our small order but they were busy cooking others.

When we asked them the first time if our order was ready. they said: "要好了”

waited for another 15 mins and i gave them the ultimatum: "if you haven't started cooking, pls cancel my order." They had a mini discussion among themselves and finally they said: "can you wait for another 2 mins and we will start cooking your food." 😂

We do not order prawn or lobster or crab, but just 3 simple meal because our kids were famished.

Please improve on your communication within your team so customers dont leave feeling...
