Giving a review from my POV as a frequent customer for years. 1. The food itself A generous amount of lard was given (which i am thankful for) because i visited a siam square mook somewhere and no lard was given. The pieces of meat were surprisingly big, not like minced meat where i believe a lot of mookata place made their meat to be. Meat was well-marinated and tasted amazing! 2. The service Having eating here for years, yesterday was my first time pleased w their staff. Usually their staff is emotionless or unfriendly, but yesterday there was one that stood out. He was a guy (I believe new), super polite and courteous. Should have more staff like that! However, I was certain they missed out something off my order, and I ended up paying for something and yet not receiving it. 3. The price I was shocked yesterday. Usually when I eat with 2 pax, it would never hit $40. But yesterday it ended up being $43+? Even when I brought my group of friends (4pax) , at most only arnd $10+ / person. Idk if its the price that went up? But sure. Overall, a good place if u just want to grab a quick supper or a place to relax and eat. It's super warm tho, and the smoke can get quite irritating as there isnt the usual smoke exhaust pipe. Go there if you're not particular 👌🏻

Lousy service attitude. There was something wrong with our stove and our soup was not boiling. We highlighted the issue with the staffs and he insisted was the giant fan above us causing the fire to be small. But the person sitting beside us who are also eating mookata had no issue with the soup not boiling and we can see their fire from where we are sitting. So we offered to change seat since the staffs insisted it was caused by the giant fan above us. After changing seats and the unhappy staff moving only the stove, he left all our uncooked food at the old table. We are ok to move ourselves since it a hawker setting but throughout the whole time, he was giving us a black face and not happy having to move the stove. After 30mins at the new place which the staff said got no wind, our soup was still not boiling so we highlighted the issue again to the staffs and ask if he can just change the stove for us but now he said, "pot too hot, cannot touch". What a champion attitude. We were done waiting for the food and we ended up ordering from the zhi char stall and guess what the zhi char food was much nicer than the mookata. Not worth spending over $60 at the mookata and received such bad services. They need improvement in their service attitude and food

Cheap place for steamboat buffet for groups. They implemented a we chat ordering system which took some time getting used to. You get to choose between Ala carte and Buffet. We went with ala carte and chose our favourite dishes. Drinks are a separate item from buffet. Thai milk tea is one of the more popular drinks Service was quite good apart from us not getting all the dishes we ordered. There was a bit of mix up with the orders and it took time to get the missing dishes, so be sure to check your list. Normally it's fine but we happened to pick a day where it was very crowded and also had a lion dance at the same time. My friends' go to place for a cheap and satisfying steamboat that opens till very late.

This review was made in early 2021 when we could still eat in 5. It re-appeared as there were some edits made in the review.

Poor service and unhygienic. Firstly at the counter when ordering food, the staff was extremely rude with bad attitude. We have multiple people eating thus wanted to use 2 bowls that they have at the counter for chili sauce instead of using multiple saucer. The counter came out and snatched the bowls from us and scolded us for taking the bowls stating the bowls are for rice and not the sauce and yes you read it right, they snatched the bowls and instead of telling us politely. We end up taking 4-5 plates of saucer for our sauces. Secondly, the stove given to us afterwards was broken with a extremely small flame and our food wouldn't cook properly at all, went to tell the staff and they say it is normal just wait for the food to cook slowly. We obliged and return to our seats. There were 3 families sitting around us that came later but also ordered the Mookata as well, their food was cooking so much faster to the point that it is giving out smoke while our has like no reaction at all despite us coming earlier. Our food was cooking so much slower and we decided to inform the staff again and show them the tables around us before they finally changed our stove. Is this how a service for a food outlet supposed to be? I mean even your business is good, food is good that not how you should treat your customers.

Response to the store owner. I think there is no need for this to be looked into already as if you are interested in the beginning investigation would have been done when I first posted this review in early 2021, instead of trying to find out what happen after I did some typo error editing that cause the review to popped up at the top...
