BLAMED BY STAFF FOR OUR "UNREASONABLE FOREIGN" EXPECTATIONS. Tried to take my wife out for a lovely evening at this "restaurant." When they brought her enchilada plate to the table, I expected mine to come shortly later as we were dining together and hoping, not unreasonably, to eat our food together. 45 minutes later, my plate had not arrived at the table. Her food got cold while we waited. We flagged down our waiter who explained that the food was being made. My wife gave in and ate her cold food while we continued to wait for my food. She had nearly finished when my food finally came to the table. My wife, extremely frustrated about eating her cold food alone while continuing to wait for my food, explained the inappropriateness and unprofessionalism of this situation to the manager. Through his phone translator, the manager blamed our "foreignness" for having the expectation that our meals do not come out 45 minutes apart. He then stated that Korean customers were perfectly fine with eating their meals alone while waiting for the food of their companions to come out. It was quite fun to get blamed for the bad service that we received with the added joy of being blatantly mocked for our "foreignness."
