Yankees Burger — Restaurant in Seoul

The staff were unfortunately very unfriendly. So I just have to write a review here.

When we first entered the restaurant, we didn't receive a very friendly welcome. We sat down anyway. Taking the order was already unfriendly.

First we had to pay BEFORE the meal.

When paying by card, she had entered too high an amount. I just wanted to make a note of this and not pay yet. Since the amount was twice too high... Then the waitress simply took my credit card out of my hand and held it against it and the overcharged amount was debited... So disrespectful!

Then at first no apology...

The transaction had probably been reversed in their system. However, this was not displayed in my banking app. Then she wanted me to pay the correct amount again straight away. But first I just wanted to make sure that the previously incorrectly debited amount had been canceled. In the meantime, they hadn't started making my burger yet.... EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE AND THE WAITRESS TOOK MY CARD OUT OF MY HAND...

I've never had such a bad restaurant experience in 16 months of traveling.

This used to be my favorite burger place, but recently, there’s a very rude and racist cook who treated us horribly. My friends came from Europe to Korea for the first time, and one of them was arriving in five minutes. We asked for a table for three and had already paid for all three people. However, the cook insisted on giving us only two chairs, even though there were free chairs available. When we pointed out that our friend would be arriving soon and there were plenty of empty seats, he still refused to accommodate us. The place wasn’t busy at all, but suddenly, after we had already paid, the cook said, “I don’t want to serve you,” for no reason. So we eventually returned our paid money and went out...

Ate here twice during our stay in Seoul. Really good burger for very reasonable prices. One thing to note, they close when they sell out so may not always be open until 10pm as advertised. In addition, on our second visit my girlfriend asked to replaced the onions with a slice of tomatoe. This was not possible according to the wait staff. We couldn’t understand why (they had tomatoes and we even offered to pay extra for it!!). Strange but still a very good...
