On our second day in Tenerife, we decided to try paella and, based on reviews, chose Punta Paraíso Restaurante. Unfortunately, from the moment we entered until we left, it was a highly disappointing experience.

Upon being seated, a friendly male staff member handed us the food and drinks menu. We ordered a Mojito, a Dorada beer, and glasses of water. However, navigating the menu was a challenge, as the paella options—meat and fish combinations—didn’t align with our preferences and required a compulsory order for two portions. While we took extra time to decide, a female staff member repeatedly approached, making us feel rushed and uncomfortable.

Hoping to buy some time, we ordered bread with alioli. Shockingly, the female staff member, who barely spoke English, questioned, “ONLY BREAD?” in a judgmental tone. When we tried asking for menu clarifications, she continued speaking in Spanish, without making any effort to seek assistance from an English-speaking colleague.

Eventually, we ordered roasted lamb shoulder, steak and chicken with Norway lobsters, grilled veggies, and patatas bravas. The food, after a long wait, was underwhelming. The chicken was dreadful, the steak was tough and inedible, and the grilled vegetables were overly oily with poorly cooked aubergine. The lamb shoulder was the only highlight of the meal, along with the patatas bravas.

Overall, this was a catastrophic dining experience marred by judgmental and pushy behavior from the female staff member. Communication was another major issue—if a customer doesn’t speak your language, it’s better to ask a colleague for assistance rather than persisting in a language they don’t understand. Sadly, this restaurant fell far below expectations, and we couldn’t...

If you're ever in Tenerife, a visit to Punta Paraíso is an absolute must, especially if you love rice dishes. Their rice offerings are nothing short of exceptional, and the black rice stands out as a personal favorite. The dish is rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with the depth of seafood and spices making every bite a delight. The tender texture of the rice, combined with the generous seafood medley, leaves you craving more.

But that’s not all – the selection of croquetas at Punta Paraíso is a game-changer. Each one is perfectly crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside, with a variety of fillings that will please every palate. The flavors are balanced, and the freshness of the ingredients shines through in every bite.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is also fantastic, with a welcoming and relaxed vibe that makes it an ideal place for both casual dinners and special occasions. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience.

In summary, Punta Paraíso is a hidden gem in Tenerife. Whether you're a fan of rice dishes or looking to try some unique croquetas, this place never disappoints. Highly...

To be honest, I don’t understand why they got so much 5 stars reviews, which lead us to try this place. We ordered the seafood noodles no 44, which was offered on the menu card with shrimps, octopus, mussels and other sea food. the only thing on the plate was a lot of cheap spaghetti noodles with few small pieces of octopus and 4 shrimps (36 Euro for 2 people). my husband asked if the chef forgot to put in the mussels and waitress answered that for that we have to order/ pay extra . Then 5 minutes later she came back and told us the mussels were pulled out of the shells and in the noodles🙈 i know how mussels look and taste. There were definitely no mussels. Also many of the seafood items, that were listed for this dish were missing.

The male waiter was friendly but the lady waitress was trying to push for starters. We weren’t too hungry and only wanted the main course. She then tried to push for paid bread rolls which we also declined. The waitress didn’t seem pleased and was very cool and distant throughout the evening. She showed complete lack of interest in her profession and her customers. For us it was once and...

There is no need to read any more reviews, this is the place to go! 10/10 experience, we got a recommendation from a boat captain we were sailing with and he was not wrong! The food was excellent and the service was to match. We got the grilled prawns which were grilled to perfection. Large, juicy prawns that were full of flavour. The Seafood Paella was the best paella I have ever tasted in my life. The rice was soft and tender, covered in a rich seafood broth with a two half lobsters, two prawns, mussels and squid. Very generous portion and definitely worth it. If you love seafood and lobsters, this restaurant is a must visit. The staff were also very attentive. Some flies were harassing us so they brought out a device to deter the flies away and lit a few candles as well. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

I visited this restaurant with my wife and our baby. The service we received and food was very good. They had a high chair. Our waiter was from Colombia and helped us with a few food modifications as my wife is vegetarian. The good: good seafood, good waiter, good view, probably best place to eat in the area. The bad: other waiter seemed less nice, paella is only prepared for two (even though we managed to get a single portion after some chats), limited entree options besides paella, the fish of the day (only whole fish option on menu) was a sole that is clearly not native to the canaries - I would expect a fish and seafood restaurant to have several local fish options. We had a good time. Garlic Prawns, Paella, Sangria, Canarian coffee was all good. Would recommend!
