Stunning view. Unluckily the staff wasn’t very motivated. Reason might be that we visited off-peak season (May 2022), during the week. First thing to mention is the grubby menu. Those really have to either be cleaned from time to time, or to be replaced more often. And here we already deduct by 1 star to 4. It’s just unnecessary and gives you a bad feeling for the overall hygiene of a place you’re about to eat. Luckily the restaurant was pretty empty, so we can’t complain about the speed of the service. Unluckily they’ve been out of the meals we wanted, so we had to choose otherwise - annoying, but this can happen. On the plus side, the beer (€ 3,43 a mug) was good and refreshing. Sitting outside, having a drink, enjoying the nice weather and the stunning view… full heartedly giving the missing star back. Wandering through the really nice and empty restaurant on my way to the toilet (handwashing a must after the sticky menu), I do get a good feeling about the place. The interior is nice, the view from inside as well… It must’ve have been quite the effort to build this place into the rock. Actually pretty amazing. Anyway, the toilets… and here’s your 2 stars minus. Two toilets. One of them in most horrendous way clogged. The other one with a defect flush button. Honestly, this is such a nice place, it wasn’t the end of the peak season. Maintain your interior. Sure needed a 2nd beer after this. The food itself wasn’t bad or so, rather lower average though. As a starter for two people we had the Papas arrugadas for € 4,-. Those where good and a lot, even though not salty at all. The Revuelto verduras for € 8,20, as well as the Tacos de pescado for € 9,40 where nothing special. The amount of vegetables on the plates was disappointing and overcooked. Since lower average isn't good enough for a restaurant, another minus 1 star. Might have been a bad day to visit, but the restaurant itself and the terrasse are really nice. Even with turning a blind eye and much to our regret, we just can’t recommend this place. It could be so much more, but just isn’t. Why going to a restaurant when the food isn’t truly tasty? A disappointment unluckily.

Hoy en, pesadilla en la cocina.... Buscamos algún restaurante emblemático por el interior de la isla, ya que íbamos de excursión. El restaurante prometía... Nada más llegar atravesamos una cueva preciosa, con vistas al barranco y al roque Nublo impresionantes, privilegiado nos sentíamos. No obstante, nada más llegar nos atendió un camarero muy amable, nos entregó las cartas y lo primero que nos sorprendió es que en casa carta en sus platos ponía un precio diferente por los mismos productos, 50 cnt de diferencia en cada plato. El dueño y cocinero, con aspecto bastante desaliñado fue el que nos atendió por segunda vez y nos tomó nota, ya que no dejaba al camarero atendernos (había bastante mal rollo entre ellos y algunas faltas de respeto) El propio dueño nos recomendó un par de platos e hicimos caso a sus recomendaciones. Revuelto de setas y langostinos, pescado del día y variado de entrantes. Al traernos la comida (bastante lenta la cocina por cierto) el revuelto de setas eran unos champiñones y setas de lata pasadas por sartén y aceite con ajos. El surtido de entrantes constaba de un chorizo criollo(frito o bien pasado por plancha con cantidad ingente de aceite) pimientos del padrón (bastante nefastos) croquetas(obviamente congeladas) papas arrugadas con mojo picón(obviamente de bote) y un queso que en la carta ponía(queso de cabra canario) tenía ganas de probarlo, pero al probarlo era queso de super que además no habían embalado bien para conservar en el frigo ya que se le notaban los bordes resecos y chiclosos (lo normal de cuando dejas el queso en el frigo sin al menos un papel film, saben de lo que hablo verdad?) El pescado.... Bueno ni tan mal, no era fresco del día, pero al menos si podré decir que estaba bien cocinado al tratarse de un atunido. La ración bastante escasa. Pedimos un par de cafés uno de ellos con leche que más que café con leche era una leche manchada. Y para rematar al pedir la cuenta al camarero, nos dice que la cuenta la tiene que sacar el dueño que es el que sabe los precios. Pues no era el precio que marcaban ninguna de las dos cartas. De 9,80 a 10,80 uno de los platos que pedimos, de los otros dos platos no puedo añadir nada del precio puesto que estaban fuera de carta y no preguntamos por ellos, nos dejamos llevar por la buena fé(error) 25€ por persona fue lo que nos costó (que tal y como está ahora el hecho de salir a comer... Dices bueno ni tan mal) Pero el hecho de ser "barato" la comida no tiene porqué ser mala, porque la conclusión al final es que es caro. Añadir por último la limpieza, cuidado e imagen general del local, sobre todo por dentro. Sillas rotas, latas de refrescos por mitad del salón, algun que otro bichito volador, tenían las mismas sillas del salón en la terraza, había una mesa llena de compra de papel higiénico, toallitas y galletas maría, los aseos con puertas rotas y sin maniqueta para abrir... Lo poco que pude ver de la cocina.... Ñif... Ni fu ni fa.... Mi conclusión en general por la experiencia vivida.... Ha sido: Si llega a venir Chicote, les cierra el chiringo.... Una pena, porque es un lugar precioso, en una localización privilegiada y encima tienen barbacoa para hacer brasa y la tenían apagada.

This place is absolutely beautiful, but don’t come here if you want good attention from the staff or good food because the only good thing about this place is the location. We arrived and sat down at a nice spot, the seats were hard to sit on for a long time and it took too long for a waitress to come so I headed down to the bar to ask for some drinks and fries, She told me that she could take the drinks but another waiter would come to take up my order for fries. After one hour he still didn’t come. The drinks were not okay, the beer was fine and so was the fanta but the coffe was not good, I ordered a Latte Machiatto and got a bad coffee. Not good and only reccomend for the view.
