We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday at L’Olla de Si Chuan in Barcelona, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Our group of 10 opted for the hotpot buffet with unlimited drinks, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The food was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh, high-quality, and bursting with authentic Sichuan flavors.
The hotpot buffet was a culinary adventure, offering a wide selection of ingredients to cook right at the table, from tender meats to fresh seafood and an array of vegetables. Each bite was flavorful and satisfying, and the variety allowed everyone in our group to personalize their meal. The unlimited drinks option made the evening even more enjoyable, and for the price, it was truly worth every penny.
Special shoutout to Gazelle, who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed, adding a personal touch to our dining experience.
The restaurant itself is lovely—stylishly decorated with a warm and inviting ambiance. It’s spacious enough to accommodate large groups while still feeling intimate and cozy, perfect for special occasions like birthdays.
Overall, L’Olla de Si Chuan exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you’re a fan of hotpot or new to it, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable dining experience with top-notch service, amazing food, and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly...
Read moreShort story : I live in Korea and proximity to China means there's so many Chinese people running hotpot shop and that I get to eat a lot. Coming from me, this is a great place to get some.
Long story : So my friend and I are traveling for months and craving some authentic Asian taste. For Koreans like us that means something that really stings either with chilli or garlic. We find L'Olla on the way back from Casa Mila after a long day and decide to walk in. Immediately seated and given an english menu when the gentleman server noticed we weren't Chinese. We took the hotpot and drinks buffet and the it was great. You just tell the staff what flavor you want for your soup and the vegetables/mushroom/tofu/seafood/meat you want. The vegetables are on a separate counter where you can just take as much as you wish though. Anyway, the vegetables are fresh and soup heartwarming. We are very happy to have added the drink buffet because well, we drank a lot. We had sangria, beer, soda, and water. The staff checked in on us frequently to see if we wanted anything more. Very kind. If you speak Spanish, no problem because of course the staff all speak Spanish, if you speak Chinese, that's great because the gentleman who took care of us spoke Chinese. If you speak neither, everyone is still fluent in English so feel free to go in. You are well...
Read moreJust got out of the restaurant from lunch with a couple of friends, regarding to some of the reviews here I want to give my two cent.
Service: not rude but a bit too much "pride" when we asked why a dish was not spicy at all (marked with maximum 3 peppers on the menu) the waiter replied somewhat unpleasantly saying that the dish we order was not suppose to be spicy at all. It was not after we pointed out that it was marked on the menu that he admitted it was a mistake on their part.
Freshness: one dish did came out with sour ingredient (the tofu) and after complaining the waitress didn't offer to do anything about it. Just said we have to talk to the owner before quickly removing all the dishes in front of us. The was the end of it, the owner didn't come to talk to us nor they offered to redo the dish or offer to not charge that dish.
We did not find any cockroaches and the general cleanliness is acceptable.
Finally in general the taste was okey, out of the seven dishes we ordered to share we found 2 to be delicious, 3 average and 2 so poor that we barely touched. based on that experience I will not go back again. Which is unfortunate since we really like the two delicious...
